Then another state-champion, and for that matter, a national champion hammer thrower Kim Beard of King's High School (and a future athlete at the University of Illinois). Finally, a pair of semi-final-bound football coaches; Joe Cornin of the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats and Tom Tri of the Lake Stevens Vikings.

Finals Score: Lake Stevens 76, Moses Lake 41. The Vikings advance to the 4A Semi-Finals and will host the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles on Saturday, November 29th.
HISTORIC FOOTNOTE: During the game, Moses Lake quarterback Brady Jay (Monana commit), tied and surpassed the previous state record for single-season touchdown passes. The previous mark of 67 was held by Prosser's Kellen Moore (now the head coach of the New Orleans Saints). Jay ended with season total 72.
Prep Sports Weekly for Monday, November 17, 2025. Four Snohomish County football teams are alive in the state quarterfinals and we hear from all four. First up, the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats (2A) with players Jack Sievers, Henry Gabalis, Hakeim Smalls and head coach Joe Cronin. Then, the Glacier Peak Grizzlies with players Luke Fullerton, Isaiah Owens and head coach Shane Keck; followed by the Lake Stevens Vikings with players Brayden Slezak, Kenny Buckmiller, Dylan Phinney, Kaiden Peck and defensive coordinator Eric Dinwiddie. The Darrington Loggers' head coach Shane Wright wraps up the football portion of the show; and we end with King's High School's girls basketball sensation Kaleo Anderson (who recently committed to Virginia Tech) and her head coach Dan Taylor.
