Emile and her 2 kids had to leave their home recently after a mold exposure left them with ongoing health issues.

Nathan is an aspiring pastor and soon to be dad who has been working tirelessly sometimes 7 days a week to provide for his family. Even through setbacks and financial struggles, Nathan and his wife Jenna trust in God to provide for all their needs.

We had to let go of our house, our car, and some of our belongings to move back with family here. He's been working hard day and night...even through all of the hardships we've gone through, he has been so faithful to Jesus. You will never hear him blame God or deny his faith. Even when I feel doubtful, and I feel scared and worrisome, Nathan is always there to pick me back up and remind me that Jesus has our back. I just wanted to nominate him so he would feel seen by the Lord.

Their baby girl will be named Noel, an added blessing and joy to their family this Christmas season.

It starts off sounding like a heartfelt reminder about slowing down during the season… and then takes a sharp left turn. Honestly, it’s the kind of song that perfectly captures the tug‑of‑war between holiday chaos and the undeniable thrill of shiny boxes under the tree.

It’s part parody, part truth, and all the way relatable for anyone who’s ever tried to balance the joy of giving with the joy of unwrapping.

Words carry weight. They can either tear down or build up, curse or bless. Brant and Sherri remind us of the incredible opportunity we have to add value through our speech. Instead of defaulting to criticism or negativity, we can cultivate a heart that is ready to bless others with kindness.

Brant points to Proverbs 31, where it says that the virtuous woman speaks with the “law of kindness” on her tongue. This isn’t just about occasional encouragement—it’s about developing a way of speaking that becomes second nature, a rhythm of grace that flows from within. With intentional practice, our words can become quicker to bless, shaping not only our relationships but also our own hearts.

When I think about peace and joy, I don’t see them as distant ideals we’ll never reach—I see them as promises we’re invited to live into right now. Sherri's uncle’s words have stuck with me: peace is joy resting, and joy is peace dancing—and I believe that staying connected to God makes those promises real, giving us a pervasive sense of wellbeing no matter what life throws our way.

While Sierra was working through her battle with addiction, her mother Ronda was the rock she leaned on.

She has always supported me, and she's always been there for me. Even when she's struggling, she doesn't show it or tell anybody, she just keeps pushing. I just appreciate everything she does because without her my son wouldn't have a place to live and I just wouldn't have the support that I get from my mom.

Though Ronda has also been dealing with some health challenges and financial struggles herself, she has remained prayerful while trusting God to provide for every need.

I've done a lot of talking with God and you know it's so true that He does answer our prayers. Not right away. Sometimes He says not yet, things work in his timing. Prayers do get answered.

In a world that often feels loud with judgment and quick to condemn, the quiet voice of grace can seem absent. Brant is reflecting on a book by Kirsten Powers—he hasn't read it so he's not endorsing it—highlighting its central theme: grace, and how desperately our culture needs it. Kirsten describes grace as giving other people space to not be you. 

Scripture tells us that grace is not just a theological concept—it’s a way of living. Jesus embodied grace in every encounter, choosing compassion over condemnation, mercy over merit. As followers of Christ, we are invited to be agents of that same grace in a world starving for it. This isn’t about agreeing with everyone or erasing differences; it’s about reflecting the heart of God by making room for others, even when they don’t look, think, or act like us.

Grace is the gift we’ve received, and it’s the gift we’re called to give.

When Richard Dawkins, one of the world’s most outspoken atheists, scoffs at the idea of God working through “bronze age, camel herders from the Middle East,” he unintentionally highlights a theme that runs like a thread through Scripture. Brant takes this very skepticism and turns it into a powerful reminder: God’s story is filled with unlikely heroes. From Galilee—an obscure and overlooked corner of the ancient world—to shepherds, fishermen, and ordinary men and women with no status or power, the Bible consistently shows God choosing the unexpected to accomplish His purposes.

This isn’t a flaw in the narrative; it’s the point. Brant argues that God’s deliberate choice of the humble and overlooked is a recurring theme meant to reveal His power and grace. In a world that prizes influence and prestige, the message is clear: God can use anyone, regardless of background, to fulfill His plans.

I just read something that said 50% of children in America will experience their parents' divorce this holiday season.

The holidays are supposed to be filled with joy, but for parents navigating divorce and co-parenting, they can feel complicated and heavy. Many of us know the ache of putting on a brave smile while our kids bounce between households, trying to give them the magic of Christmas or Thanksgiving without letting them see the adult struggles behind the curtain. It’s a mix of love and loss—wanting them to have the happiest holiday possible, even if it means we’re left sitting in the quiet once they go. And yet, there’s comfort in remembering we’re not alone: faith, shared experiences, and the simple reassurance that we’re still every bit the parent our children need can carry us through.

We’ve all had those moments when life feels like it’s keeping score—late fees, deadlines, rules that don’t bend. Brant shares a story from Phillip Yancey about being nearly an hour late to return a rental car in Los Angeles, and most of us can already feel the sting of the penalty coming. But instead of a fine, the Hertz desk clerk smiled and explained there was a “grace period.” No charge. No punishment. Just grace.

That simple exchange perfectly captures the heart of grace.
