In today’s episode of Qur’an in a Year+ we look at verse 155-166 of Surah Nisa,
we explore how Allah, the Exalted, recounts the history of those who rejected His messengers. These verses expose the crimes of the past nations: breaking their covenants, denying Allah’s signs, and falsely claiming to have killed ‘Īsā (Jesus). Allah saved him and raised him in honor, proving that falsehood can never triumph over divine truth.
From there, the Qur’an turns to those firmly grounded in knowledge—believers who recognize all prophets and revelations as one chain of light from Adam to Muḥammad ﷺ. It affirms that reason alone cannot guide humanity without revelation, and that sending messengers was both a mercy and a proof, leaving no excuse before Allah.
