In verses 17-23 of Surah Maidah, Allah refutes the claim that Jesus is divine, reminding that even the Messiah and his mother are servants under His command. All power, creation, and dominion belong to Allah alone. The People of the Book are reminded that true closeness to Allah is not through lineage or titles, but through faith, humility, and righteous action.
Then comes the story of Moses and the Children of Israel — a story of blessings, fear, and faith. When they stood before the promised land and hesitated, two believers called out, “Enter the gate, and you will be victorious. Put your trust in Allah if you are believers.” Their courage teaches us that trust in Allah is not passive; it is action, movement, and reliance combined.
