15 “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. We live in a world driven by productivity, fast pace movement, endless expectation of growing profit. What about being still before the Lord, building relationship with our Lord and other people? I think when we get to heaven we are going to find that God had much more for us to be had with much less clutter, at a slower pace that values relationship, depth over as much mileage as we could gain, and true value in relational, loyal, loving appreciation of others. Do we really think that profit, market share, as important as they are for our mission on earth will hold any heavenly value? Or will we find that chases the wind for temporal gain over eternal value?

This "eternal perspective" suggests that God orchestrates the cycles of life and that humans should find contentment and purpose in their appointed season, recognizing that "He has made everything beautiful in His time".

Seek divine guidance: Recognize that God's plan for your life is larger and more complex than we can understand. The passage encourages us to align our actions with His wisdom, rather than pushing or rushing Him, and trust that He will accomplish what He has planned.

Find satisfaction in work: Consider your work to be a gift from God, a calling to serve Him where you are placed. This mindset can help you find joy in your daily toil, even during difficult times.

Look for hope and peace: The passage offers a message of hope and peace, encouraging us to trust in God's perfect timing, even when things are difficult. It suggests that the ups and downs of life are all part of His larger plan and that He will bring beauty to all of it in His time.

Joshua 3
recounts the Israelites' crossing of the Jordan River, where they consecrated themselves in preparation for a miracle. As the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant stepped into the river, the water stopped flowing upstream, and the entire nation crossed to the Promised Land on dry ground. This event demonstrated God's power and faithfulness, with the priests remaining in the river until everyone had crossed. 

• Preparation: Before crossing, Joshua told the people to "consecrate yourselves" because the Lord was going to perform wonders.
• The Crossing: At Joshua's command, the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant stepped into the flooding Jordan River.
• The Miracle: As soon as their feet touched the water, the river stopped flowing upstream at the city of Adam, allowing the entire nation of Israel to cross on dry ground.
• Symbolism: The miracle was a sign to the people that God was with them and would help them conquer the land, fulfilling His promises.
• Lasting Memorial: After the crossing, Joshua instructed the people to take twelve stones from the riverbed to create a memorial for future generations to remember this event.
