This is an alternative version of the song I wanted to record last week but didn't cuz my voice was all janky. I'm considering starting a new little concept album. This song and another song came to me and said, "Make an album out of us!" So, I might just do it. If that's the case, this might end up being Track #1 of said new concept album. 

If you follow this music page, you've probably noticed that my voice has been deteriorating over time...basically there's a mystery something or other that's negatively impacting my health and giving my cats health issues too, and it's a bad thing. That, combined with lack o' sleep did a number on my dumb voice this week. Bleh. I think I know what the mystery something-or-other is - well, lemme take that back. I don't know what the mystery something-or-other is, but I know where it came from. And even though I got rid of the thing that contaminated the house, the badness is sticking around. Lots and lots of badness. 

This is a song from the point of view of a person with a mystery-room in her house. It relates to Jungian psychology stuff. If I'm remembering correctly, all of us have parts of ourselves that we don't accept, so we push them outta conscious awareness, and they end up in the Shadow, which is almost like this being made up of a conglomeration of parts of us that we don't accept about ourselves. I think I'm getting that right, but I might be wrong about that. Anyway, the room in the song might just signify that shadow complex. I don't know yet.

I used to like Halloween, but in recent years, it has sucked. I can't wait for November 1 to roll around.

This song is about trying to get rid of the devil and stuff.

This is another song where I took a sample from that movie I'm makin' and made it into a song using the melody that the person talking's voice forms. Yes. The title pretty much conveys what the song's about.

I was downloading hundreds of my old songs a few weeks ago cuz the website I had them on was going defunct (gosh darn it all). I came across this old ditty that I'd forgotten about, and I realized it's a nice little tune (or, at least, that's what my ears think - others might not agree). So I did a cover of my own song just for shits and giggles. It's a lot different from the original cuz I added a B phrase and some rap and stuff. I mean, the original is quite nice, but I was in the mood to revisit this old ditty, so here it is. It's a song that I originally wrote years ago that's called "Years Ago." That's an odd thing, all by itself.

This song could mean that I'm a stupid person singing; or it could mean that I'm a person singing stupidly. (And, now that I think of it, both are true in real life). The spirits mentioned in it could be booze or they could be spirits of dead people. I guess. 

There was a dude speaking in the movie I'm making, who says "a thousand deaths." When I played it back, I realized it sorta made a melody when he said it, so I made it into a song. Here it is.

I was downloading a bunch of old ditties of mine onto a computer from a website I have 'em on that's no longer gonna exist, come September 30. I needed to do that cuz those songs would be hard for me to find, y'know, cuz I have 'em on a bunch of random thumb drives and stuff. Anyway, there were a couple years where I did lots of songs about vampires. I realized I haven't really thought about vampires in a long time.

That was a trip; my Watch Duty app thingy told me this afternoon that there was a brush fire in my town. I was all, oh gosh. Then it grew from .25 acres to 5 acres, and I'm all, oh gosh. I started gettin' my ducks in a row in case I had to evacuate. But they put the fire out after about an hour. Phew.

I got real sad yesterday when I found out Graham Greene died. He was one of my favoritest actors in the world. I actually wrote a requiem in 2015 for a character he played, who died, in the movie, Skins. Anyway, I got sad, so I did a little reprise of an old song from 2021 in honor of him. I changed some o' the lyrics and did a new rap. But my apologies to anyone within earshot of this song, and my apologies to Graham Greene, as well: My voice is extra special jacked up today. Ugh. Dust mites? Am I coming down with something. I might be fighting off a cold. Anyway, here it is.

I'm messing around with a new recording device; this recording's really dry because I haven't gotten to the part of the manual with the bells and whistles in it yet. And I forgot to turn off my white noise machine, so that's the hiss you hear in the recording (there were screaming kids outside - I don't like them). If the white noise machine hadn't been turned on, it'd be a really clean recording, I think. I think so. 

This is the first song of the 3rd Loosey Goosey Lucifer album. I'm having problems uploading it, though.

This is a song about bein' invisible, but it's not s super power. It's just plain old being invisible. Or maybe it is a super power, but the invisible person doesn't know it yet. The picture ain't directly related to the song, but it's kind of a similar concept.

This is a song about one of those last-straw moments. The straw that broke the camel's back. The final papercut of a death by a thousand paper cuts. And whatever other metaphor you can think of.

I probably won't get a chance to do music next week, so here's a little extra song this week to fill in the blank. It's probably not that good. Blank-filler songs aren't that good usually, but that's okay because this song is about the massive poopy writer's block I'm experiencing. A crappy song about doing crappy songs is a fine thing. I miss my drunk church. I hope they come back. Maybe they're standing behind me and I don't know it.

This is a song about how nobody will be around to witness the sun going supernova when that eventually happens cuz we'll all be burned up cuz the state of California is burning up. It's a strange and almost surreal day when your high school that you graduated from becomes an evacuation shelter.

Those edibles can last a long time sometimes.
