Redefining Masculinity is an action project led by research assistants based around the key findings of Adam Howard’s newest study which goes into the secret worlds of American elite all-boys schools. Through the eyes of 127 recent alumni, we see the practices and relations involved in making privileged boys into elite men and the central role of privileged brotherhoods in this process. Several research assistants have worked alongside Howard not only to conduct this study but also to gain valuable insights into what we’ve learned from this research. In order to highlight student researchers’ perspectives and engage with the studies findings, pairs of students collaborated to produce a podcast series entitled Redefining Masculinity. Each podcast is centered around a main finding of the study. a different finding presented in each of the six chapters of the book. Through these discussions, student researchers put the data to use to explore various aspects of these secret worlds.
