ANDREAS MALM is a senior lecturer in human ecology at Lund University, as well as a prolific writer and journalist. His research and writings focus on the intersections of capitalism and climate change, as well as on the politics of opposing the fossil capitalist system. Amongst his works are Fossil Capital: The Rise of Steam Power and the Roots of Global Warming and The Progress of This Storm: Nature and Society in a Warming World. His talk concerns ways to escalate the struggle against climate change, and the possibilities of direct action and sabotage.
