Holiday Stress? Grief? Joy? This Episode Holds It All.
In this special extended holiday episode, Ancy Lewis and Dr. Cindy Bautista-Thomas of Velocity Visions Inc. invite you into a real, grounding, and deeply human conversation about what the holidays actually bring up—for many of us, both the highs and the hurts.
We begin with a soothing grounding meditation led by Dr. Cindy—perfect if you only have a few minutes and need to find calm, breath, and ease in the midst of holiday chaos. Stay for the full episode, and you’ll hear Ancy and Cindy share personal reflections on grief, loss, family dynamics, and the complicated emotions that surface during this season—while also exploring how joy can still exist alongside stress.
This episode is longer than our usual Self-Care to Success in 15 Minutes or Less format because the holidays often ask more of us—and we deserve more support.
Whether you’re navigating grief, feeling overwhelmed by expectations, or simply craving a moment of nurturing, this episode is an invitation to slow down, care for your soul, and remember you’re not alone.
✨ Come for the grounding. Stay for the healing.
Food is fun, nourishing, vital, and stressful. That's right, it has the positive and not so positive aspects to it. In this episode the connection between food and self-care is explored. Ancy discusses how food choices impact overall well-being. Ancy breaks down the way food makes an impact on our mind and how our thoughts about food make an impact on us. This episode is not about diets, body shaming, or a "get fit quick" scheme. This is about insight and self- awareness that can support your mental and physical health-key components of self-care. Take a few minutes to listen and journal along with Ancy to discover how food affects your self-care.
In this episode, Dr. Cindy Bautista-Thomas invites you into a 10-minute guided meditation to welcome the season of fall as a time to release, reassess, and realign. Using the imagery of trees and falling leaves, she guides you to let go of what no longer serves you, breathe into clarity, and embrace the beauty of change. The episode closes with reflective journaling prompts to help you ground your intentions for the season ahead.
Perfect for anyone seeking calm, renewal, and a gentle reminder that letting go makes space for growth.

We’ll unpack why these misconceptions persist, how they damage our well-being, and what it looks like to reclaim self-care as a consistent, empowering practice. If you’ve ever struggled to carve out time for yourself, or viewed self-care as a luxury rather than a necessity—this conversation is for you.
