August 29th 2013 - show 8.14 is an intense mix of ambient and electronica from this planet and beyond. Sometimes our blue planet is getting too small and too scary. As a reaction, this show is a ticket to a place where you can feel safe and relaxed. Enjoy! Let’s start slowly... with Shane Morris and Mystified; the track is called ‘a struggling new form of life’. Not only do we like this title so much, it sets the theme for this mix like no other track could do. Superb! Arriving september 10th but already on our show.... the brand new album by Darshan Ambient! First you hear ‘Fields’, later in this mix the title track of the album called ‘Little Things’. The album? Not little at all ;-) Back from the silence.... it’s Planet Boelex! As soon as you hear the sounds you will recognize the typical Boelex approach; two tracks back to back, a collaboration between Boelex/Mosaik and a track by Boelex himself. From the ultrasuperdeluxe edition of ‘Sonne’ we took the third album ‘Sonnenwelten’ for a magical bridge between the two Moderat pieces in this mix. Sonnenwelten is 100% instrumental and space proof. Damage Done by Moderat ... till the tears roll down your face. So, let’s start this show now. (Kidding!) The band with a name I can’t write down without triple checking; Oneohtrix Point Never. File this under: psychedelic ambient or cinematica if you will. Original thinking and beautifully done. Must hearthis one multiple times! Around the corner we sense Dust in the air; Solar Fields at his best. We’re now past a certain point in this mix where you probably feel what this episode tries to express.... The ‘Little Things’ track by Darshan Ambient starts playing; slowly moving, grooving, subtle sounds and spectres, flowing into the music by Janneh from Finland. Your body is floating now.... don’t fight it, just let it all happen! Experimental / Dark Ambient comes from the 2007 release by Joe Frawley, a piece that popped-up here fon the computer all of sudden ... The Tangerine album; it’s like good wine: tracks getting better every year, we still love the album! And it goes so very well with our next transition... That’s the final ambient piece for this mix: a T.S.R. production... when Carbon Based Lifeforms meets Solar Fields. Literally. Hello...? Anyone...? Aha..... everybody’s asleep now. Perfect! July 25th 2013 - Listen.... hear and wow! Fantastic to post a new show in the middle of summer! No summer break this season; here’s a very cool episode filled with the best electronica for your hot summer nights... The track Dreams by Astronaut Ape is coming from the brand new Microcosmos Records release called ‘Ten Minutes Eternity’. File this one under Cinematic Ambient or Soundtrack Electronica if you will.... We are in the World of Sleepers now... Carbon Based Lifeforms still amazes every time I listen to the album; pretty unique release with sweet melodic ambient tracks that one will never forget. And then... iWorld 2.0 by Astronaut Ape. Wow....! Speaking of perfect combinations sound wise: this track says it all, the beats, the synths, the claps, the echoes, the bassline; sweet and melodic so we can drift away further and further into deeper space now... On the train from Berlin to Rotterdam I was listening to older Ultimae releases when this one was on my headphones; James Murray’s album ‘When Edges Meet’ is one of those albums making you feel funny in the head... after listening to couple of tracks back to back, you’ll feel pretty disoriented in a positive sense: this is pure ambient adventure! Satisfaction guaranteed. May God have Mercy on his Sounds and Soul... the Labyrinth series by the late Pete Namlook ft. Lorenzo Montanà. Probably the best Namlook series in our collection... These two souls have worked out an intense chemistry between their musical styles.... Where beauty meets percussion is exactly where Namlook met Montanà. This release should be in every person’s collection! Nice and easy we flow into the final part of this journey... Meg Bowles album ‘The Shimmering Land’ is a beautiful place, where we can sit, walk and think about what we’ve seen so far, what plans we have for the future, it’s like walking on ‘The Isle of Dream’ and that is exactly the title of this track in the mix... Divine Emanation is the logical conclusion for Spacemusic 8.13.... hear and wow! Anima delivers a divine album called ‘Light of Aluna’. Words are not necessary, just listen to this final track (excerpt) and you’ll be ready for a great night of sleep or a big day to be alive and enjoy!

After our party-weekend (Celebration of the new Fresh Air! formula via Mixcloud) this is a very welcome after-party mix. The opening came to us via e-mail; JEFX makes music of all kinds, we sure do like this ambient piece! Followed by the brand new album release on Ultimae records, the new MIKTEK album called ‘Elsewhere’ is a true sweet ambient release; perfect for livingroom and bedroom.We play three tracks, you find the markers... Time for great music from Germany with Erik Seifert, music we should play more often I think... it’s adventurous and well produced, certainly tracks that tell a story and have this typical classic electronic sound we grew up with. Two tracks from two different albums, you’love the pieces and your neighbours as well. ‘Your Personal Sun’ by ASTRONAUT APE... what can we say?.... brilliant piece! Play it loud. It’s the album released on Microcosmos Records, one we’ve played more before because it’s good, very good stuff. The ‘Borderline’ track by AES DANA gives that lovely deep feeling, mixed with steady beat, fancy percussion and wide reverb.... just awesome in every situation. Special delivery; please meet Halcyon Hall, coming from Petersburg (Russia) this is Dennis D. explaining to us what electronic music really means.... I literally fell of my chair. This is a true treasure for your ears, body and soul. And you know what? The album is a free download on Soundcloud. April 30th 2013 - we have a new King! After 33 years Queen Beatrix (1938) is now... King Willem-Alexander (1967) and Máxima (1971) of course as his Queen. Reason enough for us to play some tracks on this very special day today and welcome you to an Orange-tinted country. To celebrate the past and future: it’s the Final Queensday in The Netherlands. “Lieve Moeder...” words by Willem-Alexander to thank Beatrix, his mother, is followed by a remarkable track performed by Krister Linder. There’s only one way to experience this song: play it loud! So many tones and details, so much beauty can be heard and the voice of the heart comes from Krister. Superbe! Sonne, ist das neue Schiller album. Guten Abend! After watching the Bluray we just wanted to treat you with at least two tracks; Revelation and Berlin/Moskau can be found on the latest album ‘Sonne’. You can buy the release in many variations, from deluxe till super-deluxe. The typical Schiller style, just very spacey, great sounding and perfectly mixed. We have one suggestion though: Schiller should pay more attention to his live performances in the sense of keeping those acts more compact, more to-the-point and having a tempting climax, all within 90 minutes. Possible? Just a thought. The F.D. Project plays ‘The Outro’ and has the old-style sound and vibes, never boring, always pleasant to listen to. We found the release from a couple of years ago ; ‘Song for the Phoenix’ by System 7, the band based around Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy; they started in the 90’s with their typical sound-baths as we call them... tons of sounds, tons of patterns, delays, hypnotic ingredients and .. fat and pumping bases! The ‘Phoenix’ track is one you will never hear on the radio, read our lips. Therefore we wanted to give you this hint so you can enjoy their album ‘Phoenix’ as we do. East of France, Mulhouse, the Hypnotique LIVE sessions part 4. Released via Ultimae.com - in one word: brilliant LIVE stuff! So very well mixed and mastered; SCANN-TEC delivers an outstanding piece of art, the sounds of man (Vladislav) and his machinery (too much to mention). Go get this one today! We’re completey lost in time now... listening to Asheni you simply have to admit: life sucks sometimes. Or is it good to know the pain, then to understand Quality Time even better? You decide. Asheni’s voice is fabulous. She (from Spain?) can be found on the iTunes Store to keep things simple. Like it was meant to be... Krister comes back again, his track ‘Ghostfriend’ sounds like an answer to the ‘Lost in Time’ track. Enjoy this flow... The track comes from the album ‘Songs from the Silent Years’ which we got from Krister personally when we visited London back in 2006, we had a meeting, small chat, hands and this CD, just before a LIVE gig.
