This week, we gather at Resistance HQ to review the ‘The Last Order’ by Kwame Mbalia! A deftly written war story that delves into Finn and Jannah’s traumatic past as troopers in The First Order, and offers a first glimpse of the post-war theater of the galaxy after the battle of Exegal. A fascinating read that explores the harrowing culture of the fascistic regime bent on controlling and desensitizing the youth of the galaxy, the trauma of a soldier’s life and how one can either overcome it or succumb to it, as well as newly developed backstory for saga film standouts like Finn and Jannah!

Torn between light and dark like Kylo Ren, we share what we love about ‘Star Wars: Visions’ and the ‘Legacy of Vader’ comics but also air our discontent with Disney for how they publicly cancelled the ‘Acolyte,’ and even call out Lucasfilm for the clunky delivery of compelling lore in both past and future stretches of the timeline.

With the campaign requiring a bit more work to schedule and mix, the trinity has assembled to provide a standard episode of Cantina Chronicles as an interstitial before their next adventure in the galaxy far, far away. In this episode, the trio discuss ‘The Hunt for Ben Solo’ and share all their spicy takes on the now cancelled project. After to talking Ben Solo and the Star Wars development pipeline in general, the crew move onto their review of ‘Star Wars: Sanctuary’ by Lamar Giles.

This week, Adam and Grant discuss the newly announced cast of Starfighter and dig into their thoughts surrounding what seems to be the most risk averse Star Wars movie ever put into production. 

With Grant away, Ben and Adam decide to create the ultimate Insquistorius tier list. General feelings about the Inquisitors (and their helicopter lightsabers) are discussed before the duo dive into discussing and ranking every single member. Given this is not the first time we’ve discussed Matt Smith in a Star Wars, we bring back some old theories for legacy characters he could be connected to and then explore some new ideas for roles he could inhabit that wouldn’t upset fans who want all new characters.
