Introducing the author of my favorite paranormal read of this spooky season (Love and Other Conspiracies) - the fabulous Mallory Marlowe! It blows me away that this is her debut novel. Absolute top notch tension, banter, romance, all the trimmings and trappings. Also borderline unhinged plot that's so hilarious and conspiracy theorists wearing backwards baseball caps so there's that. I have reached the pinnacle of my career as a podcaster - I interviewed multiple authors at once! Plus not just more than one - SEVEN!!! And it was such a blast and adventure. Come hang out with me in a chat all about the Falling for Summer series (a small beach town multi author crossover series) with Kortney Keisel, Gracie Ruth Mitchell, Cindy Steel, Becky Monson, Martha Keyes, Kasey Stockton (who was unfortunately sick and couldn’t join us), and Jess Heileman. This was one of the funnest episodes I’ve ever done - I can guarantee lots of laughs! This series is the perfect summer read closeout before fall hits!
Books featured:
Summer Ever After by Kortney Keisel
Beachy Keen by Kasey Stockton
Plotting Summer by Jess Heileman
Summer Tease by Martha Keyes
Beauty and the Beach by Gracie Ruth Mitchell
One Happy Summer by Becky Monson
Rebel Summer by Cindy Steel
(Since Kasey couldn’t be here I asked her to tell me what it was like working on a summer themed book and how it influenced her story. She said this: “The setting helps a lot! We’ve got this cute beachy island and town events that gave me a great blueprint to work with. I tried to get my characters outside or to the beach whenever I could, because that’s the best place to fall in love in the summer. And because of my title (and the whole summer vibes) I did my best to make sure the key moments in Cat and Noah’s relationship happened on or near the beach!”)
When you think of your favorite narrators, who comes to mind? For me it will always be Julia Whelan. Her voice just sounds like coming home! Come hang out with us and enjoy listening to Julia's amazing voice outside of the audiobook world as we tackle what narrators' lives are really like!
Have you ever bought a book for the sprayed edges? I know I have many a time. Luckily for me, I had the chance to read The Wren and the Holly Library before it was released, so I got to experience the incredible story first before I was dazzled by that gorgeous cover! Meet K.A. Linde, the author behind this stunning story, and learn more about where her inspiration came from - I guarantee you can judge the inside of this book by its cover.
