With over 80 million units sold worldwide, rather surprisingly the PS5 has become the ninth best selling console of all time and Sony's most profitable console ever.
The PS5 got off to a rocky start (as with most PlayStation consoles) but maybe, quietly, as become one of the most important consoles/generations - maybe we'll look back on this console more favourably than we did during the pandemic?

There would definitely be no Streamcast without this console and there are many reasons why - the backwards compatibility with PS1 games, the in-built DVD player and arguably the greatest gaming library of all time.
