Let’s face it, if you weren’t crying during the Strictly Final then you might be getting a visit from some Ghosts of Christmas Past this week…
In this week’s bumper Christmas special Aimee and Ava are joined by long-time friends Tori and Nina, who share their thoughts from a stand-out season, and right our wrongs on a number of contestants, dance styles and hot takes.
Plus, we play the first ever edition of ‘Did it Really Happen on Strictly?’ (without any prizes, as we blew the budget earlier in the season on miniature vermouth).

It was a cut-throat semi finals with only eight points from the top to bottom of the leaderboard.
With egg nog, unnecessary Kylie Christmas songs and a looming finals in the air, Aimee and Ava dissect the sarrrmbas, tangos, and far too many waltzes from the weekend's show.
We're also dishing out hot takes aplenty this week, as we speculate over Claudia and Tess' replacements.

Aimee and Ava begin to come to terms with the departure of Lewis and Katya, one of the best couples Strictly has ever known.
After the drama of musicals week, we chat through our disappointment on multiple fronts: a West Side Story that never landed, a nausea-inducing opening number and a PG-rated rendition of Cell Block Tango that didn’t translate to pre-watershed. But, as the judges are ever so fond of telling us, there was still ‘a lot to love’! George’s serious face, Balvinder’s standing ovation and Motsisms aplenty.

How to follow a resplendent Blackpool special? With more chaotic vibes than a 90s breakfast talk show when someone's spiked the coffee. Now firmly in the business end of the competition, our Strictly stars brought a heap of mayhem to the live show on Saturday night, taking on the Instant Dance challenge. Aimee and Ava unpack their favourite moments on stage and back stage, and share their dream musicals week renditions.

Flying high off the transcendent weekend that was the Strictly Blackpool special, Aimee and Ava share their most pressing twelve thoughts from the Tower Ballroom extravaganza.
Space lizard outfits, Robbie Williams’ incoming MBE, Cheryl Cole’s Oxshott home and Alex Kingston’s oven gloves are just some of the cameos you can expect in this instalment.

Blackpool beckons, and as the competition heats up, Aimee and Ava discuss who they’re rooting for, and who needs to raise their game.
After Vicky’s shock departure, we talk through a cursed Girls Aloud track, La Voix’s Couple’s Choice, what we want to see from Karen in the weeks to come, and how we’re beginning to appreciate George’s deadpan humour.
And with the promise of the Tower Ballroom looming over us, look out for our Strictly Bingo card coming out later this week, with prizes!! Well, one prize, our budget isn't ITV-standards (yet).

It’s the show that’s held us in a chokehold. This year, The Summer I Turned Pretty captured the zeitgeist of Millennials longing for a golden era of romantic drama once again.
With the proverbial dust sheets replaced on the Cousins' summer house furniture, the blue hydrangeas now dropping their petals in the autumn chill, this Strictly special is asking one vital question: Why did we all get so hooked on The Summer I Turned Pretty?
Welcome to our first Anatomy Of A Great Show, where we focus on three elements that were integral in making a show so watchable, and three stand-out scenes.
As promised, we’ve shared our top 10 TSITP Reels on Instagram: @strictly_pod
If Strictly weeks were crisp flavours, live show seven would be ready salted: a 'plain' week by many standards, but a stand-out week for quality and flavour.
Let's consider the key components: Blackpool is but a mere two dance-offs away, and the tension is mounting as we enter the second half of the competition. With a high level of professional dance backgrounds in the contestants this year, the leaderboard seems more and more congested as the couples vie for top place. George Craig seems to have more identical friends to introduce and why oh why won't Nikita stop thrusting?!
This week we welcomed our first guest on the show, with Tori talking us through Amber's origin story on Strictly Speaking. And finally, we round-up an incredible month of The Celebrity Traitors by reflecting on Ed Gamble's sinister good looks.

We’re flying high on the first 40 of the series! Saturday night’s Halloween special is set to go down in Strictly history thanks to Lewis and Katya’s incendiary take on a Couple’s Choice dance to Radiohead’s Creep. Further down the leaderboard, our ‘lovely couples’ are now vying to break away from the pack to avoid a dreaded dance off. We discuss what Harry and Karen, Alex and Jojo, La Voix and Aljaž and Balvinder and Jules can do.
Over on The Celebrity Traitors, we can’t get enough of Kate ‘Martin Bashir’ Garraway busting out her heavy-hitting analytical skills by suggesting the use of sun-dried tomatoes in a plain-sight murder… all that and so much more in this week’s episode.

After the shocking news that Tess and Claudia will be leaving Strictly at the end of the current series, Aimee and Ava debrief the announcement, and make a few wild guesses as to who could replace the iconic duo.
Speaking of icons, week 5 of the live shows packed in performances from Beyoncé, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Prince, Spice Girls and Usher, not to mention cameos from Grace Jones and Danny DeVito… wait… we mean Elvis.
And of course, we’ve peppered in a little Celebrity Traitors chat, as we’re increasingly convinced Jonathan Ross has put something in the castle’s water…

This week we focus our attention on three contestants currently on a journey (or, in Strictly parlance, ‘J-Word’): Alex Kingston, La Voix and Balvinder Sopal. From scoring to styling, Aimee and Ava analyse the highs and lows of three dances: Alex’s rumba, La Voix’s cha cha and Balvinder’s paso doble.
We were also spoiled for Couple’s Choice dances this week, with two electric performances we couldn’t get enough of. What would Aimee choose for her’s? Well, let’s just say it involves more Cheryl Cole than anyone asked for. For everyone watching The Celebrity Traitors, we also include a run down of Jonathan Ross’ best (self-styled) lewks. All that and more, darlings!

Movie Week sees Aimee and Ava watch Strictly Come Dancing in person, with a Saturday night that dreams are made of: beach walks, M&S party food and setting the world to rights over a bottle of crémant.
The only issue? Oh, just the casual 13 couples’ dances, VTs and Clauditorium mayhem to keep up with!
Guest Cynthia Erivo pulled up a prestigious fifth chair at the judges' table on Saturday, with plenty of advice for the thirteen couples taking to the stage. In Episode Five, we discuss our dream Strictly judges, what we thought of the big screen-inspired dances, and some glorious wigmanship from Neil.

'Expectations are high, the lights are on, the outfits are ridiculous...' Oh, it's good to be back.
Week two of live shows sees the contestants dancing with just one week of rehearsals, far-flung trips for VTs and absurdly proportioned scarves.
In this episode Aimee and Ava consider how difficult it is for 'our lovely couples' to tread the line between tabloid fodder and public favourites, before moving on to the pressing news of the day, namely how Jojo lives off a family pack of mints for lunch...
The live shows are finally here, and what a way to begin: an American Smooth to Chappell Roan, a jive to Blondie, and a whole lot of fluff from Anton's feedback.
In Episode Three Aimee and Ava run down their favourite couples, the off-the-charts chemistry they can't wait to see more of, and speculation over Alex Kingston's village shop.
Finally, the time has come: Strictly is back on our screens and Aimee and Ava are waiting in the wings to debrief every twist and turn of the (yes, you guessed it) journey!
Which couples do we 'have our eye on'? Who do we think the curse may fall on? And which dance professionals are we looking forward to seeing a bit more dimension from? Join us for episode two, as we make a whistle stop tour through this year's dance partners and first impressions of the launch show.
It's a bumper episode because we're clearly too excited.
Coming up in Part II: best bets on who the Strictly Curse will land on this year, uncanny impressions of Anton Du Beke, and which contestants we're ready to go on a J Word with...
It may be the middle of summer, but you're very welcome to join us for the first ever episode of Strictly: Strictly 2025!
Coming up in Part I, we make some important introductions to our very unofficial podcast, run through our first impressions of this year's contestants, and discuss who we're excited to see step out onto the Elstree dance floor.
