Through the expanse that is the sky, our eyes wonder. Most of the time, we know what we see because we tend to see the same things recurring. Birds, clouds, the sun, moon, and stars and in more recent decades planes and other man-made machines. Most of us tend to use logic when it comes to things we see in the sky...Did it look like a bird or a cloud? Was it travelling as fast as a plane? Was it as loud as a helicopter? All questions that run through our minds when witnessing something above us. All of these questions are meant to be quick, logical identifiers when it comes to things above ground level. But what happens when we run through these ideas and none apply? What happens when multiple people see the same unidentifiable thing and cannot find a reasonable explanation amongst themselves? Interestingly enough, Agnes would be of interest to a few different paranormal events. Let's be honest, the vast majority of UFO sightings tend to be a bit mundane. Without casting judgement on anyone, a glowing orb in the sky that is visible for a few moments before disappearing isn’t the most riveting of the encounter types. Let me regress a bit already and say, while situations like these are intriguing, they don’t send shivers down one’s spine most of the time. Most objects seen may not even leave a trace of their presence afterward, leaving them to exist mainly in the memories of their observers. This is why we tend to remember, by name, the ones that do leave marks...both on their environment and on the human body. There are many archetypal human fears. Spiders, snakes, and heights are among the top. Things that, through evolutionary lines and experiences, we have come to commonly avoid. But what we are going to talk about today tends to ride the line of our basic instinct to protect and nurture, that is children. Kindchenschema is a term that describes the attributes that endear babies to most people. With it’s folk sound and haunting lyrics Jim Sullivan’s 1969 album UFO has become a cult classic, with legions of new listeners discovering it everyday. Blending cryptic lyrics and religious questioning, many believe his words have a deeper, more personal meaning. Stories of the Mokele-mbembe have been told in the West African region of the Congo Rainforest of a creature that is of gigantic size.  Whether or not seen first-hand by the people giving the accounts or second-hand stories, the range of descriptions varied slightly from story to story. And where else could an impressively large, possible dinosaur-like hold-out, reside other than the great continent of Africa. Housing many of the world's largest, fastest, and deadliest animals, the Mokele-mbembe should be right at home with it’s outstanding wildlife counterparts that are featured here.
