We’re called to do the same — not just owning a Bible but knowing how to use it. God’s Word is precise, powerful, and life-giving — but only when it’s in hand and used in faith. We walk through how this Sword is short (for close combat), razor-sharp, double-edged, and always meant to be ready. If you’ve ever felt unarmed in a battle, this one’s for you.

In this message, we’re talking about the last piece of God’s armor — the helmet of salvation. It’s not just about protection; it’s about perspective. When your mind is covered in truth, your whole life changes. From Romans 8, we see how this helmet renews your mind, reframes your suffering, and restores your confidence. You’ll walk away from this sermon knowing how to think like someone who’s been saved, not just say you are.

Paul describes faith as a shield large enough to cover the believer completely, able to quench the fiery darts of the enemy. Hebrews 11 shows faith as both the foundation of our hope and the evidence of unseen realities. In this sermon, we see how worship fireproofs our shield, the Word enlarges it, and trust strengthens it. Saul treated worship, the Word, and trust as tools for his own gain, while David treasured them as his life with God. Faith rightly placed in God still deflects every dart today.

Worship isn’t just music before the message — it’s a battle cry. In this sermon, we walk through what it means to approach worship as warfare, under three headings: preparation, participation, and posture. Worship prepares our hearts, builds up the body, and pushes back darkness. Through Scripture-saturated singing and whole-body surrender, the church stands strong in the fight of faith. This week’s message is all about the spiritual battle we’re in and how the gospel equips us to stand strong, move forward, and keep going. Paul says to put on the whole armour of God, and part of that is lacing up our gospel shoes. These aren’t just any shoes—they’re made from the preparation of the gospel of peace. They help us hold our ground, take new ground, and stay grounded when the world gets dark. The gospel isn’t just the starting point of our faith, it’s the solid ground we walk on every day. Jesus is our armour, and when we put Him on, we’re ready for anything.

In this message, we’re looking at what it means to “put on the breastplate of righteousness.” It’s not just about protection—it’s about identity, direction, and grit. The righteousness we wear isn’t our own, but the righteousness of Jesus given to us by faith. That righteousness guards our hearts from shame and accusation, guides us in how we live each day, and gives us the grit to keep going, even when life gets tough.

Psalm 90 reminds us of life’s brevity and the call to live with wisdom. This sermon, Making Life Count, reflects on how to number our days and find meaning before God.

Paul tells believers to “gird your waist with truth” as part of the armour of God. The belt of truth is not optional—it is what binds life together, builds inner strength, and brands us as belonging to Christ. Without truth we unravel, weaken, and lose our witness. With truth we stand firm.

This week’s message, “Armour Up,” is all about standing firm in a spiritual fight that’s real, even if we can’t see it. From the lies we hear to the battles we face in our hearts and homes, the Bible says there’s a bigger war going on behind the scenes. Paul tells us in Ephesians that the Christian life isn’t just about blessings and walking right — it’s also about standing strong when things get tough. We’re not fighting with our own strength; our power comes from Jesus. And the armour God gives us? It’s not just symbolic — it’s for real-life battles. From truth to salvation, prayer to the Word, this is about being ready, being equipped, and trusting God to lead the charge. Time to gear up and stand our ground.

This message takes a look at “eye-service” — obeying or working hard only when someone’s watching. Using a story about a sneaky dog named Colby, we see how easily we can live for human approval instead of serving God from the heart. Ephesians 6 Vs 5-9 calls us to a higher standard: working with sincerity, knowing that the Lord is always watching. From biblical examples like Joseph to practical steps for integrity, this sermon helps us shift from being “men-pleasers” to living for an audience of One.

In this message, we look at God’s blueprint for the family found in Ephesians 6:1-4. Paul gives clear direction to both children and parents: children are called to obey and honour, while parents are called to lovingly raise their children in the training and instruction of the Lord. We’ll see how obedience brings blessing, why honour matters just as much as action, and how parents can avoid provoking their children while pointing them toward Jesus.

This week, we looked at what biblical love and respect look like inside a marriage—and how marriage itself points us to Christ and His Church. Paul doesn’t give a theoretical lesson; he gets practical about what it means to walk in wisdom and mutual submission. Husbands are called to lead by loving like Jesus, and wives are called to respect in a way that mirrors the Church's trust in Christ. Marriage is more than just a relationship—it’s a living parable of the gospel.

In this message, we unpack what it really means to walk in wisdom, especially in a world that’s full of distractions, danger, and foolishness. Pulling from Paul’s words in Ephesians 5, we explore three key marks of a wise, Spirit-filled life: walking carefully, welcoming the Spirit’s control, and living a life of joyful worship and humility.
