Talking Healthy w/ Ms.B promotes personal wellness as a healthy balance of mind, body, and spirit resulting in a feeling of well being. Keeping our emotional, occupational, intellectual environmental, spiritual, physical, and social aspects of our lives in balance is a challenge but necessary for personal wellness.
Dr. Linda Person former department chair and Associate Professor of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Dance and Sport Management was appointed faculty athletics representative. The faculty athletics representative (FAR) plays an important role on college campuses, providing oversight of the academic integrity of the athletics program and serving as an advocate for student-athlete well-being.
Dr. Person has retired from VSU since 2019 and now resides in Atlanta, Ga. with her husband.
Dr. Person earned her bachelor's degree in health and physical education from Virginia State University and a master's degree in education and doctoral degree in pedagogy from Virginia Tech.
We offer support and encouragement for creating healthy lifestyle changes. Information includes education on natural and alternative methods of being proactive as well as reactive to health concerns. As a nurse for over forty years, I will explore and share timely updated information that can enhance your quality of living. I also will be sharing information that can potentially enhance other areas of your daily living such as technology, business, finance, social skills, community interest, and mental health.
