Welcome to the Unscripted Healing Podcast where we share unscripted stories about health and healing because everyone has a story and everyone has an Inner Child who wants to be heard. There is so much healing that can happen through real-life storytelling and this podcast creates a safe space for people to share their stories and connect the dots back to their childhood. It also creates an opportunity for YOU, the listener, to find yourself (and your Inner Child) within the stories. So before pressing play, I encourage you to tune into your body because, as you are listening, it may give you clues to your story in the form of “goosebumps,” a pit in your stomach, a lump in your throat, tears in your eyes, or shivers down your spine! Those are all ways that your Inner Child and body are trying to get your attention that there was something in that story for you! And thank you - just for being here - your Inner Child is already starting to feel seen, heard, and loved by you.

Episode #95: This Isn’t a Rebrand — It’s a Return
2025 didn’t break you — it refined you. And 2026 isn’t asking you to become someone new. It’s asking you to come home. In this episode, we explore why the “new year, new you” mindset often leads to burnout and self-sabotage — and why real change doesn’t come from urgency, hustle, or fixing yourself. We talk about: Why your body and nervous system respond to safety, not pressure How integration matters more than intensity right now Why so many New Year goals fail — and what actually supports lasting change The difference between reinventing yourself and returning to who you’ve always been This is the heart behind The Nourished Woman Within — a space where nutrition, movement, energy, faith, and inner child healing come together instead of competing.  If you’re in the in-between…no longer who you were, not quite who you’re becoming…this episode is for you. If you’ve ever brushed off your birthday or tried to convince yourself it’s “just another day,” this episode is going to make your Inner Child feel deeply seen!  Because the real reason you downplay your birthday has nothing to do with age…and everything to do with guarding your heart. Episode #89: My HYROX Wake-Up Call: The Weight I Didn’t Know I Was Carrying
I was prepared for the physical challenges of my first HYROX event. What I didn’t expect was for it to reveal just how much emotional weight I’d been carrying. Somewhere between the training, the illness, the IV drips, and the intensity of race day, HYROX pulled up years of grief, loneliness, self-protection, and the quiet ache of doing life solo for far too long. The sudden 14-pound weight spike in just two weeks became the wake-up call I couldn’t ignore — the physical proof of everything I’d been holding in. This event didn’t just test my body. It cracked open everything I’ve been avoiding. It forced me to feel the pain I’ve suppressed… maybe even used fitness to outrun. And it made me face the ways I’ve kept people at a distance because it felt safer than risking disappointment. This is the real story of how HYROX became less about the competition and more about healing, trauma patterns, and emotional clarity. If you’ve ever pushed down your pain until it showed up in your body…If you’ve ever kept people at arm’s length because disappointment hurts more than loneliness…If you’ve ever been confronted with the truth you’ve been avoiding... This episode is going to hit home. Sponsored by Hydralive💧 First-time clients can get IV therapy for $99. Episode #82: From Reps to Relationships: The Ripple Effect of Fitness
Jared Markiewicz’s story started long before opening up his gym, Functional Integrated Training. Growing up as an only child with an absent father working to provide, he often struggled to feel seen. After losing the “big brother” energy he once found with neighborhood friends, Jared carried the sting of abandonment. That wound shaped his mission to become the “big brother” figure he once needed, whether training at his gym, mentoring high-achieving men, or showing up daily for his daughters and the young girls on their team. For over 13 years, Jared has helped busy parents and professionals thrive through strength training, small group coaching, and mentorship. In this heartfelt conversation, Tami and Jared go beyond fitness to explore its impact on fatherhood, failure, and fulfillment. They dive into how childhood experiences shape purpose, why presence matters more than perfection, and the ripple effect of physical health on emotional well-being and relationships. Episode #81: Breaking Through Blocks You Didn’t Know Were There
In this episode of Tami Talks: Unscripted Healing, Tami takes you on a journey of breaking through invisible blocks — but not in the way you might expect. From a hike full of barriers (and bugs) that mirrored life’s obstacles, to the moment in the gym when “I’m dying” really meant “I’m alive,” these stories reveal how fear, conditioning, and old beliefs disguise themselves as protection — when in reality, they’re keeping us stuck. Through lessons in nature, community, and even her own body demanding attention, Tami unpacks what it really means to trust the unseen, lean into intuition, and let faith lead the way. If you’ve been exhausted, second-guessing yourself, or waiting for the “perfect” path to appear, this episode is your reminder that clarity comes in motion — and your path isn’t meant to look like anyone else’s. ✨ You’re not broken. Tami Talks: Stories to Heal Your Inner Child
Episode #78: Back to School, Back to Self: Parenting & Healing Your Inner Child
Back-to-school is about more than schedules and supplies. It’s a chance to heal. In this episode, I share the first-day-of-middle-school adventures with my daughter, how burnout crept up on me, and why parents need to “check themselves before they project themselves.” Together, we’ll talk about supporting kids emotionally, recognizing when our old wounds are triggered, and why parenting isn’t about perfection, it’s about connection. In this episode, you’ll hear about: The real-life parenting moment that turned into an inner child healing lesson Why burnout sneaks up on parents and how to spot the signs What it means when kids aren’t opening up—and how to build trust How to check yourself before you project yourself (and why radical responsibility matters) The importance of creating safe spaces for communication at home How meeting emotional needs (to be seen, heard, accepted, valued, and loved) changes family dynamics Whether you’re a parent navigating back-to-school chaos or someone healing your own inner child, this episode will give you practical tools, heartfelt stories, and reminders that healing happens in connection. Tami Talks: Stories to Heal Your Inner Child
