306. Your Year Ahead with Jeff Hinshaw!

Want a full deep dive on 2026? Check out Lindsay's offering, The Threshold, a channeled download for 2026 and your year ahead!

In this Year Ahead episode, Lindsay Mack and Jeff Hinshaw explore 2026 as a powerful turning point after several liminal years. They reflect on 2025 as deeply Piscean, shaped by Neptune’s long journey through Pisces since 2011 and marked by the year of the Hermit and themes of grief, waiting, and dissolution. In contrast, 2026 emerges as a universal 1 year, aligned with the Magician, Wheel of Fortune, and Sun in the Tarot, signaling initiation, clarity, momentum, and a return to spiritual authority.

Astrologically, the conversation centers on a major generational shift as both Neptune and Saturn leave Pisces and enter Aries, ushering in a fire-driven era focused on action, identity, and leadership. A pivotal week in February sets the tone, with Saturn entering Aries, an Aquarius New Moon solar eclipse aligned with the Chinese New Year, Year of the Fire Horse, and the rare Saturn–Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries. Lindsay and Jeff frame this as the birth of a new cycle around imaginative leadership and embodied spiritual presence. Jupiter’s move into Leo later in the year further amplifies themes of creativity, joy, and heart-led visibility.

Through looking at Tarot themes, the hosts contrast 2025’s archetypes of patience and preparation (the Hermit and Knight of Pentacles) with 2026’s initiators: the Knight of Wands, Magician, Wheel, and Sun. Drawing on personal reflections from a previous Magician/Sun year in 2017, they explore how these cycles often launch projects and identities that shape an entire nine-year arc. The episode weaves in the importance of working with grief—rather than bypassing it—by transforming it into tools, talismans, and creative practices.

Ultimately, this episode positions 2026 as a year of reclaiming agency and consciously redefining relationships to spirit, community, and collaboration. With the reminder to “allow your mind to be the wand,” listeners are invited to stay discerning, clear unhelpful patterns, and choose collaborations that honor mutual sovereignty and growth. Rather than waiting for permission, 2026 is offered as a true “choose your own adventure” year, one that asks: what is your tool, what is your name, and who are you ready to become?

303. MONTHLY MEDICINE: November is Radical Care in Challenging Times

How can we wisely, tenderly, and radically care for ourselves in vulnerable, challenging moments? How can we show up for others when they are in the same state? This is (just) one of the big questions that this very big and significant month will be posing to us.

November really has the capacity to reorient us, in terms of our work in this world, our purpose, and call to service. It has the ability to really shift the ways in which we habitually respond to ourselves and others.

May we show up in radical, tender care in all moments, joyous, challenging, and everything in between.

How can we best work with it?: Wheel of Fortune

302. MONTHLY MEDICINE: October is Create

The water is flowing, the metaphorical arrow is flying through the air -- finally, with the month of October comes the movement, clarity, and expansion we've been waiting for. The theme of the month ahead is Create, and if we're willing to work with it, we can make extraordinary moves in our lives.

The big work we will be doing this month isn't actually in the act of creating itself, but the resistance and inner protection that lies between us and this proverbial river, or arrow. The key for us will be to hold the aspects of us that have misgivings and doubts about this process, while taking those longed for leaps into creation and movement at the same time.

How can we best work with it?: Ace of Pentacles and The Fool

Tarot for the Wild Soul with Lindsay Mack
299. MONTHLY MEDICINE: September is Dissatisfaction

September isn't likely to be the month we want, but it is the one we need.

The theme for the month ahead is Dissatisfaction, not necessarily because it is an altogether negative or unacceptable cycle of time, it's just not necessarily tending to our larger desires and concerns. It is a piece of tape for a very large leak -- not ultimately the most ideal tool, but there is medicine in what it's offering.

Our job this month will be to:

1. Work with and surrender to the Eclipses,

2. Align ourselves with the nourishment of the cards we pulled in this reading, and:

3. Remember that it is a 9/Hermit year. Ultimately completely dissatisfying, if we're seeking linearity, answers to our questions, and insight on what to do next. Slow, spiralic, soft, and ceremonial is the best way to move through this month ahead.

Our Soul Tarot Reading for September

Card for the month ahead: Three of Cups

How the month will feel to us: Four of Swords

How to best work with the energy of the month ahead: Seven of Swords

Medicine to call upon to work with this month: The Sun

Deepest lesson of the month ahead: Knight of Wands

What we’re being invited to pay attention to most: Five of Swords

Message from Spirit: Two of Cups

294. MONTHLY MEDICINE: August is Catapult

Finally -- after what has felt like forever -- August gets things moving, flowing, and clicking again.

The theme of this month is Catapult for a reason. This isn't a chaotic, frantic, frightening launch into the void. We have been preparing for this for a long time, a time when we finally get some clarity, or are able to move the needle in some longed-for way. The "catapult" in question is a sacred, measured, and joyful collaboration with the muses, a serve and return that we've been waiting for.

The key for this month? To trust that you are actually ready to receive this. You're ready to move. You're ready to commit. You're more ready to move than you might believe. You have everything you need to do this.

Our Soul Tarot Reading for August

Card for the month ahead: Page of Swords

How the month will feel to us: Knight of Swords and The Sun

How to best work with the energy of the month ahead: The Devil

Deepest lesson of the month ahead: Page of Wands

Tarot for the Wild Soul with Lindsay Mack
293. MONTHLY MEDICINE: July is Asking for What You Need

The theme for this month is Asking for What You Need.

What is it that you need right now? How can you ask for it (to the degree that you're able to)?

July wants to remind you that even the willingness to connect with what we need and desire is a spell. Writing it, praying for it, feeling it, and communicating that longing is all part of the process of tuning in with those needs.

This is a watery, swirly, emotional month. It's going to bring us into some old stuff, some outdated debris -- once we face it, we can actually clear it and make way for something new.

It's not really going to feel like it in an acute sense, but this month really is building to something important -- it is preparing us for a time of change and necessarily evolution. Coming home to who we are and what we need in this season of life -- and asking for it -- is the big work that lies ahead for all of us this month.

Our Soul Tarot Reading for July

Card for the month ahead: King of Cups

How the month will feel to us: Ace of Wands

How to best work with the energy of the month ahead: Nine of Pentacles Rx

Deepest lesson of the month ahead: Six of Swords

Biggest helper for the month ahead: Page of Wands

What we’re being invited to pay attention to most: Nine of Swords Rx

(All of the greatest respect and acknowledgment to Mary K. Grier, the author of so, so many excellent books on Life Path Cards, and a deep scholar of Tarot in general!)

I will be running Heart of Service, my intuition and soul-led business course, for the LAST time ever! It will be open for enrollment from July 14th — 25th, and will start on July 28th. I’m so excited to dive into the course one more time with anyone who might feel called to it!

292. MONTHLY MEDICINE: June is Closure

June is a recalibration month of sorts.

It's not that we won't be moving, working, and showing up where we're called to, but there will be quite a bit of emphasis on slowing down, tuning in, reevaluating, and perhaps more importantly, digesting. We might not always enjoy or appreciate that pace of things, but it is of huge benefit to us to lean into it.

There's a lot to turn over and process before we can move forward into our next chapter. We need closure before we can move on, and that's precisely what June is helping us to take hold of.

Our Soul Tarot Reading for June

Card for the month ahead: Eight of Cups

How the month will feel to us: Ace of Wands and Four of Cups

How to best work with the energy of the month ahead: Page of Swords Rx and Four of Pentacles Rx

Deepest lesson of the month ahead: Queen of Wands

What we’re being invited to pay attention to most: Five of Swords

What do we personally need: Ten of Swords

Aligned action to take, if any: Ten of Pentacles Rx

What kind of support can we call upon for the month ahead:  Five of Cups Rx

290. Sacred Compass: The Power of The Pages in the Tarot

When we've lost our way, or are trying to find True North in our lives, the Tarot can be a beautiful tool to help us sense into our way again. But there is no deeper, clearer, finer compass in the Tarot than the Pages: four gloriously potent anchors that can assist us in coming home to the root of our heart, soul, and self.

In today's episode, we discuss The Pages from a Soul Tarot perspective, looking at how they present themselves as sacred compasses, and how they occupy a very important role in the flow of the Minor Arcana from Ace to King.

288. MONTHLY MEDICINE: May is Let the Light In

The clouds are parting, and sunlight is pouring through the curtains. We open the doors and windows, welcoming the fresh air and the light. We allow it to illuminate and touch upon all of the areas of our lives -- both beautiful and challenging -- that have been obscured and unclear for so long. For better or worse, movement and clarity are coming to us this month. What will we choose to do with it? What will we build, foster, and create with this space and time?

The theme for the month of May is Let the Light In. It is a profoundly impactful cycle, with an equally powerful reading to match.

There will finally be some forward momentum in May. May that movement and illumination be a blessing.

287. Medicine for the In-Between: An Intuitive Reading for Transitional Seasons

As a collective, we are in a profoundly transitional time, crossing a bridge from who we were to who we are becoming. This is something that most of us are feeling on a personal level, too: who are we? What are we feeling called to offer to the world, and how can we be more clear and sure about how to go about it?

Whether we are stuck at the gates with our writing process, in our careers, with our love life, with our next steps, or around another sensitive area, we are all feeling this call to pivot and shift.

In today's episode, we dive into a gentle and potent reading for this particular in-between season we are all traversing. How can we be present with it, and engage with it in the most graceful and supportive way possible?

Intuitive Reading for this Transitional Season

Where are we collectively in this season of change, evolution, and becoming? — The Moon

What can help us to shift and pivot into who and what we came here to be? — The Devil

The lantern that is lighting the path? — Page of Cups, Rx

How can we honor and support ourselves through this time? — Queen of Wands

What might we have to release and let go of to do this? — The Lovers

What might we have to embrace and lean into? — The Magician, Rx
