I've been fortunate to get to know Nellie on a personal level the past few years. John Nelson (also known as "Nellie"), is Thorne Bro's longest standing legend, and has experienced so much of the fishing world. It's impossible to summarize Nellie's accomplishments in a short summary. Nellie's fishing career is a more diverse story than most. He started his fishing career as a force to be reckoned with on the Professional Walleye scene for many years, which eventually transitioned to bass fishing. Nellie won Rookie of the Year his first year fishing the Classic Bass Champions Tour, and is seen as a voice of experience and wisdom. On the fishing industry side, Nellie has seen the evolution of fishing equipment up close, and has played a major role in bringing in some of the most popular baits we know today.
