In March 2020, Covid was sweeping the world and with it came a wave of quick thinking adaption as well!
Sam Williams, B2B Marketer (and our show host) was about to take part in the Inbound 2020 Conference in Sydney, Australia when it hit - decimating the ability for the show to be put on in person and in many ways, acting as a microcosm of events happening world wide. In August 2021, when Aotearoa New Zealand's largest city went back into another lockdown with the arrival of the Delta Variant, Sam recorded this introduction to a B2B book he is working on - which we'll go into later as part of Ten X Marketing Academy.
What is fascinating though is how the Pandemic reshaped how B2B marketing had to change - and change quickly to stay relevant in a world where suddenly everyone was home, budgets were frozen and the future was uncertain. It is eye opening just how much industry norms have shifted in such a short amount of time - as witnessed here with this recording hypothesising (or foreseeing) the changes needed to stay relevant
