Jason found that he needed to grow his own medicine to have enough to ease his symptoms , 4 years later a nosey neighbor ended his ability to do so by narcing him out. He had 5x the limit of plants but through persistence he managed to not only win his case but get his medicine back and in the end he was instrumental to the emerging hemp laws here in CO. Slipped into the reopening of the government was an amendment that would clarify the definition of hemp to ban all hemp-derived products containing THC, which were legalized by the 2018 farm bill. Legal hemp products are limited to a total of 0.4 milligrams per container of total THC, or any other cannabinoids with similar effects. Cannabinoids that are synthesized or manufactured outside the plant, like delta-8 THC, are outright banned. There’s a lot to unpack here and there’s as much good as bad, we hardly need every gas station selling Terp infused prerolls or no oversight in manufacturing of edibles but at the same time we NEED to protect the hemp farmers that are producing cbd for salves , tinctures etc that really help patients in those unregulated states.
