How to Access Your Creative State
In our last episode, we discussed how to get through an ordinary day. Of course, it’s ok to have an ordinary day. The seldom occurrence of special days is what makes them unique. But you have the power to make an ordinary day a special one - that is if you are creative! So for this episode, our chief mindfulness officer, Josel Gaston, joins me once more to discuss how to access your creative state. If you are feeling stuck or can’t even squeeze out your creative juices, Josel shares some simple techniques to bring them out with us. Negative emotions often overshadow or eat up creativity. So the first thing to do is to be calm. Josiah Gilbert Holland quoted that “Calmness is the cradle of power.” So to harness your power, you have got to calm your mind. And this can be done by meditation or by action. There are several podcasts where you can listen to guided meditations, and one of them is produced by Josel - Find Your Daily Calm. You can find the link to his podcast below. Simple movements like walking after lunch instead of taking a nap is an excellent technique to spark some ideas from inside you. So if you have been stuck for some time, listen to this episode. May this episode awaken you, stir your hidden creativity, and lead and inspire others to move as well.
