Rudeness in the Workplace
All of us have experienced rudeness in the workplace. I'm sure that you have a lot of stories to tell. The longer you have been in your job, the more experiences with rudeness. Let's call these situations incivilities. But when we talk about incivilities or just the word "a-hole," the first person that comes to many people's minds are their bosses. Why is it so? Together with our chief mindfulness officer, Josel Gaston, we will dissect these workplace incivilities and how these situations or problems affect workers. If you haven't had any experiences like these, you might be the one performing the incivilities but haven't realized it yet, especially if you are the boss. For example, you might have gaslighted or smart-shamed a subordinate without knowing it. So whether you are a boss or a subordinate, please tune in to this episode and learn how you can solve or avoid incivilities in the workplace. We would also like to hear your experiences about incivilities, so kindly share them with us by sending a message to our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/worldstageinternational/ And here’s the link to Christine Porath’s talk: Why being respectful to your coworkers is good for business | Christine Porath
