Stress, PCOS, HA...Why Is My Period All Over The Place?

#13. If your cycle feels unpredictable — or your period has gone missing altogether — you’re not alone. In this episode, I’m sharing my personal experience navigating irregular periods through both PCOS and Hypothalamic Amenorrhea (HA), and how stress (in all its forms) can play a massive role.

We’ll talk about:

  • How under-eating, over-exercising, or emotional and mental stress can impact your cycle
  • The importance of ovulation
  • What PCOS and HA can look like
  • The general reasons why your period could be missing or irregular (this is not an exhaustive list!)

This isn’t a medical deep-dive, but a gentle conversation grounded in real experience — and a reminder that your period is a vital sign worth listening to.

9. Kiki’s Diabetes Journey: The Scary Road to her Diagnosis

In honor of Diabetes Awareness Month, I sit down with Kiki to discuss her long and challenging journey to a Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis. After battling with her body shutting down and facing countless unanswered questions, Kiki finally received the answers she needed and is now living (pretty normally) with her new diagnosis. Her resilience, strength, and perspective are truly inspiring, and I walked away from this conversation with a deeper understanding of Type 1 Diabetes. Kiki’s story is one of perseverance, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to hear it and for you to hear it. Enjoy!

3. Behaviours I normalised in my eating disorder
In this episode I lay out 20 behaviours that I normalised when I was in the midst of disordered eating. Just because you resonate with any of these reasons, it does NOT mean you have disordered eating or an eating disorder. I am just shedding light on a few behaviours that I took part in when at my lowest point with my body, food and exercise. Just something to think about and maybe something to reflect on if you do resonate with any of them. Be kind to yourself and be open to explore the reasons behind your behaviours around food, body and exercise. 💐
