Training With Purpose
In this episode, we sit down with Linda Allcock and Simon Pedley to discuss the vital role of training in church planting. We delve into Co-Mission's efforts, the significance of training future leaders, and the various pathways for ministry training. Our conversation also touches on the challenges of retaining talent, the importance of real diversity and including both men and women in ministry roles, and the value of lifelong learning.    Links referenced in the Episode  9:38 Report (link on the page linked) Booklet on Training Pastor Teachers Partners Programme and Partners Evening Signup   Co-Mission exists to plant churches to reach London for Christ. Partnership | The Advance Initiative
Today's episode is all about partnership. Co-Mission and The Advance Initiative have started in a strategic partnership to reach South Asians in London. The Advance Initiative exists to catalyse South Asians to become a global missional force, and we're excited about what God will do through this new partnership to see more churches planted and equipped to reach South Asians in London, especially those planted by and for South Asians. We pray God will use it powerfully to grow his kingdom!   You can find out more about the Advance Initiative at: www.advanceinitiative.com   Also, as mentioned at the end of the episode, we're starting a new initiative called the partners programme. It's a way for everyone to get involved in church planting in real, tangible ways through Praying, Giving, and Going. Join us for our first Partners' Evening on November 20th to hear about all God is doing, pray and worship together, and find out how you can get involved! Go to www.Co-Mission.org/Partners for more information and to book.    Co-Mission exists to plant churches to reach London for Christ. REVIVE 2025 | "Identity" Youth Seminar from Jonty Allcock
This is the Co-Mission summer series covering the talks and seminars from REVIVE, our annual festival. This episode is the youth seminar entitled "Identity" from Jonty Allcock, pastor at The Globe Church   Confident, insecure, fearful, pressure, pretending, shame,.. a swirling concoction of emotions that feed into our fragile sense of self worth and identity. It might sound weird, but a proper grasp of justification will really help us rise above the storm and root our identity deeply in Christ. We will be talking mostly about that. It will be fun. And possibly life-changing.   Jonty is the pastor of The Globe Church, helps to lead at a Contagious Youth Conference and was once a teenager. He doesn’t claim to have all the answers but is increasingly convinced that Jesus is spectacular and the gospel transforms us. He also supports Southampton so at very least you could feel sorry for him.   Co-Mission exists to plant churches to reach London for Christ. We're passionate about church planting in London because we are convinced it's one of the most effective ways to reach new areas of the city, bringing the gospel to people from every nation, tribe, and tongue in those areas.
