MOJO MAGAZINE ISSUE 384 NOVEMBER 2025: Reviewed! 

Long live years of discovering new music and new things, in every which way! Welcome to a podcast reviewing a magazine full of reviews! We will finally reach peak meta when Mojo reviews us reviewing them. There will be a day, mark my words. Until then, I suppose we’ll just carry on reviewing things that review things without being reviewed by those things in return necessarily. Sigh. Maybe if we exclusively review things from decades gone by we will eventually get noticed by them. Or rather, twenty years after the podcast ends, but leaves in its wake a slew of pale imitations that take over the podcasting landscape. 

But really, we are really happy magazines are still around. Please continue to stay around. Even if your super in-depth nature made it tricky for our rinky dink podcast to cover every inch of the coverage you provided us (especially since one of us had a hard out on the record today … hi!) we are still very much grateful for your existence. As we are wont to do, let’s talk about you.

We discussed Tim Burgess and his work with The Charlatans and having referenced enjoying a Charlatans performance about two decades ago, I’ve decided, I am done with dismissing them. He seems awesome and the MOJO interview was great. I’m gonna try them out and start with this super early single that Tim talks about making it to No. 12 in the charts the same week Oasis with Some Might Say and Blur with Country House battled for No. 1 and brought their battle for Britpop supremacy to a climax.
