On Episode 58 of the Distorted Dialogue Podcast, She Hates Me Not drummer Cade Baldwin stops by to discuss all the news and hype surrounding these up and coming thrashers from Tulsa, Oklahoma. We get into how the band was formed, the different lineups at the beginning and the progression they have made. From just releasing another brand new single, to opening up for the legendary metal band Prong, at the Whiskey A Go-Go in Los Angeles, Cade tells it all. With so much happening and so much coming up, I hope to have She Hates Me Not on again, and am excited to see what these dudes tackle next! I have no idea why the recording stopped recording me, but everyone seems to think I was too ugly for the camera, so glad we could put this together. It's always mayhem here! Welcome to Distorted Dialogue, the official podcast of The Metal Institute of Thrashology. Where I interview each guest, getting to the bottom of what you want to know. Wether itâs a Headlining Act from the other side of the world or a thrash band next to a river, I am always searching for the next riff, album or tour, and this is where to find out about it. Discussing topics such as new albums, inspirations, concerts, crazy road stories and wherever else the conversation takes us. Donât think of this as a rapid fire, monotone filler, but rather a conversation where we can all learn about albums, tours and more, while laughing along the way Some keep coming back, so find out why! I donât just interview musicians, but techs, label executives, industry attorneys and anything else that is metal as hell. Why limit the fun? Date Recorded: October 30, 2025

With a new 3 song single out titled "Live, Loud and Lucky", I thought it would be a great time to catch up with Erik Caplan, the frontman of the Philadelphia, doom, psych and stoner band Thunderbird Divine. It's always a great time to catch up with Erik.
Erik Caplan from Philadelphia doom outfit Thunderbird Divine comes back again, to discuss their brand new live EP, "Live, Loud and Lucky" showcasing 3 of their songs performed live. Erik is always one of my favorite repeat guests, who has a big toolbox of talent, and an even bigger passion for music. I learned so much about the working and recording of live records, the length Erik goes to deliver such a quality product, and as always, the thousands of bands that Erik recommends, which are all great quality. Erik tells the story of how he suffered from a heat stroke, while recording, and honestly, the record is a hot ass piece of wax! From cool people in the industry, to what goes into Thunderbird Divine's sound. If you haven't heard this live effort, please do, and please go look up their prior studio album, Little Wars. It's a great mix of desert rock, doom, psych and so much more into a stand alone sound that the more you listen to, the more it sucks ya in.

On Episode 54 of the Distorted Dialogue Podcast, Philadelphia Blackened Thrashers, Bastard Cross stop by to discuss their new album, Crossripper off of Morbid and Miserable records, releasing this Halloween, October 31, 2025. Blackened Thrash, with a punk attitude and and pure speed, this album is a must for fans of thrash Metal, Blackened Thrash and Black and Roll music, although I think this is too fast for a groove. Singing songs about the occult, Satan and some of my other favorite topics, I sit down with the band, to find out what went into making this one diabolical debut.

On Episode 53 of the Distorted Dialogue Podcast, Indianapolis Blackened Thrashers Graveripper stops by and their frontman and founder Corey, discusses their new album From Welkin To Tundra. We also discuss, their writing process, their influences, their discography and so much more. Graveripper is a Blackened Thrash band, that is straightforward face melting metal, and in my opinion, one of the top albums of 2025. Another stellar release coming from the Morbid and Miserable label and Wiseblood Records, which are having phenomenal years. I couldn't thank Corey enough for the riffs, and the conversation was cool too. But those riffs....too damn good. Find out more about the album, the band, and more importantly, go check their album out!

Episode 52 Valkyrieâs Jake Adams stops by, fresh off of their killer set at the Descendents of Crom Festival, this past September. After seeing their performance, I just had too many questions about their sound, I just had to interview them. Here we talk about what makes Valkyrie's sound, what has been keeping motivated, how the band kept going, when his brother Pete left for an extended period to help out their friends in Baroness, and so much more. I had a blast talking to Jake, but not quite as much fun as seeing them live. I was a fan of their 2020 album Fear, but after watching them perform, I was sold. It actually looked like they were having a blast, while churning out some rock and roll, which clearly transitioned to the crowd. Jake seems like such a cool dude, and after meeting the band at the show, they are just as rad! so go check out their music and let me know who else you guys want me to chat with

Pittsburgh metal masters in band  @edhochulitheband took time out of their busy schedules to sit down and talk with me, on Episode 50 of the Distorted Dialogue Podcast. We discussed their 2024 album, Highlander and what went into making it. With members spread between both Nashville and Pittsburgh, I wanted to find out how they got such a tight sound, being so spread out, to which they credit their honesty between members. I only met with Ben Jones and Dave Varney, but I am catching Edhochuli live in 3 days, at The Descendents of Crom festival, held annually in Pittsburgh, showing off the best of the regions talent, and as you can see, Edhochuli is part of those greats. Maybe, I can get the whole crew this time? A mix of punk and hardcore, mixed with metal and a whole bunch of passion, Ben mentions that seeing this live is even better than their albums, which I find phenomenal. An eclectic sound, with 2 drummers driving this machine forward, that just shows the amount of sound they have!

Several weeks ago, I was talking with a few different bands, when I noticed I really had no idea how many dynamics really involve the music scene, wether it's the manger's duties, the royalties, marketing and promotion, and a million more. I read about the issues that trouble bands, royalties, contracts, streaming, and I realized after talking to  @realrandyojeda how little I really knew. I also didn't understand, as only a creator exactly all the different aspects and possibilities of what all goes into getting a band a steady and successful foundation to hopefully begin a long and successful careers. As someone who over analyzes everything, talking to Randy really helped begin my curiosities. I am not sponsored, paid, affiliated with Randy, other than talking to him here, as I generally am just curious about the industry. I would like to hang out with him at Disney or a show if I can ever get back to Florida where he is based out of. Thanks to  @CSquaredMm2 for setting this up!
