Dr. Brandon Roberts is a scientist, author, and natural bodybuilder. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, garnering more than 2,300 citations, with expertise spanning skeletal muscle physiology, exercise science, nutrition, and pharmaceutical interventions. Dr. Roberts holds a PhD in Muscle Biology, an MS in Human Performance, and a BS in Molecular Biology, all from the University of Florida. He further honed his expertise by completing an NIH postdoctoral fellowship in Exercise Medicine and Nutrition at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 


In this episode, Dr. Brandon Roberts joins the podcast to break down muscle biology from the inside out. During the episode we cover everything from the cellular make up of muscle to chronic adaptations that occur with regular resistance training. Dr. Roberts also provides answers to some popular questions about muscle such as onset of sarcopenia and how to mitigate it, the validity of muscle memory, lactic acid production and more.
