Don't get me wrong, I love subbing in projects, I recently did that up north! Meeting new people, rising to a challenge, and enjoying the excitement of playing with a group I've heard or in an area I've never been to as a player.

However, subbing too often leaves you little room for anything else, and as with too much of anything it starts to become old the more times in a row that you do it. I chat about my experience subbing in the past and what was fun and frustrating.

Note: this was taped before a wonderful show subbing in May Erlewine's band The Motivations, that was a perfect example of a subbing gig I'd gladly take!
