Pontus joined the club in the summer of 2019 and was quickly made captain by Thomas Frank in a season that saw Brentford finish 3rd in the Championship, but eventually miss out on promotion in the playoffs. Pontus, however, was a key member of the squad that, in the following year, returned Brentford to the top flight for the first time in over than 70 years. Captaining Brentford on their maiden voyage in the Premier League, Pontus quickly became a cult hero and club legend, making over 100 appearances for the Bees, and being involved in some of our most iconic top flight games to date.
