In this week’s episode of Unfiltered, The Dynamic Duo finally address the conversation that has been circulating in the podcast world for the past few weeks. Personality Elaine the Pain has called for a boycott of South Asian shops, so Mark and Steven break down why calling for a boycott isn’t so straightforward. They give examples how the business tensions between the two communities reached this point in the first place & why the situation is more complex than it appears, and why Elaine’s approach — and her focus — may be misguided.

In this clip from our Saturday Stream, we cover the heartbreaking story of Marcus Fakana, aged 19, the UK teen who was jailed in Dubai for roughly a year after engaging in a romantic relationship with a 17-year-old girl while on holiday.
His case drew widespread attention online, and many saw it as an unjust application of law. Thanks in part to advocacy and diplomatic efforts, Marcus was eventually granted a royal pardon from the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and returned to the UK in July.
Tragically, just three months into his newfound freedom, Marcus was involved in a police pursuit in North London. The vehicle he was in collided with another vehicle, and despite medical efforts, he passed away in hospital.
