PLUS Susie David from the waters of goddess & Fran Gyn.  This was our last show of 2021.  OMG did we party or what!! Brilliant info from Martin Seager and big up to Martin, Vince and Di Levi for jingles.  The special and indavertantly sexy voice of the sea from Susie David.  We had such a marvellous time and huge thanks to Peter Shearn for creating this show, Lucinda and Chris for holding the chords, all the guests in 2021.  We will be back (hope so) in 2022. A sparkly conversation with cellist Margit van der Zwan.  Exciting times when she toured with the band Elbow for five years.  It was brilliant to catch up with her many creative endeavours including recently devising and publishing a brand new card game "Quartet", song-writing and recording her very catchy single "Oo La La" with her band The Ladybird plus her fantastic drawing and painting skills.  If I tell you she played a saw live on air it will tell you everything you need to know about this woman.  So wonderful to catch up with her.

It's fabulous fun interviewing Saff Juno on 'The Full Totnes Breakfast Show'.  We air three of her songs including her debut recording "December Daisies."  We find out how she started her career as a singer-songwriter, the story of her new band and the passion she exudes for making music.  One of her dreams is making it to Glastonbury - the stages!  Somehow, you just feel that this rising star Saff Juno will have it all.  

James Turner enthralls us with his deep and mystical poetry but he knows full well how to make a person laugh too.  You can't help brimming over with euphoric optimism after listening to this poet.  His recent association with SPORK poetry mentorship programme CHANGED HIS LIFE and we learn the how and the why of it all.  

Robert Garnham, newly appointed BARD OF EXETER appears on the show with ex-Grand Bard and Bard of Exeter, Jackie Juno.  How can Jackie Juno point Robert in the right direction?  Well, tune in to hear her tips! Poetry spills out of their mouths and much merriment ensues.  

Kerry's daughter Astrid tries hard to budge her way onto the show but she's whisked away by her dad Steve, well she's only a baby!  A great opportunity to hear what starting again on the student trail has been like for Kerry who was accepted at the prestigious music college Guildhall in London.  Kerry sheds light on the course, telling us about her collaborations with opera singers and composers.  

Great Friday show with featured artist Caro Emerald, singer-songwriter.  Active since 2007, she rose to prominence in 2009 with her debut single, "Back It Up". I've been following Marcy's work online for a few years and I can only tell you she is an extraordinary writer.  Today was a beautiful joy having a writer of this calibre on the show, breathing into her words and sending them into life over 1025FM airwaves.  I know, it is just a question of time before she hits the bookshelves and is a writer that everyone wants to follow/read.  Our roving seaweed poet Susie David sends reports from windy climes...  Weather/traffic/what's on from Martin Seager.

A jaunty conversation with Joe of White Space Art in Totnes, telling us about the new art exhibition at 72 Fore Street, Totnes, with artist 'Ellen Watson', show entitled "A Walk To The Sea."   Joe reveals that life was not always about art galleries, indeed, he has a backdrop of interviewing and journalistic skills with "The Scotsman" in Edinburgh, plus a hankering to direct and devise film.  Art won him over, plus his devotion to talented artist Sarah Bowmen who encouraged Joe to take the leap from Edinburgh to Devon.  White Space Art look deeply into the business that is selling art and attach it with enormous heart space love.

Have you ever had several panic attacks trying to prepare your house for visitors?  You have, then look no further for the poem of a lifetime that will fully employ your laughing tackle.  Edward Tripp is a stand-up poet who lives in Devon. He combines words, high-drama (and occasional theatrical effects) to convey a range of deep esoteric truths. Edward was once described as ‘Dave Allen meets David Lynch’ and it pleased him. It was arguably one of the few times Edward has ever truly felt pleased. Please listen to Edward, he means well. Also - has a lot of time on his hands since he was relieved from his position at Clinton Cards.  The Full Totnes Breakfast hails Edward as a comedy genius!

Jacqui Perks from Jamming Station Totnes chatting to Julie Mullen about growing up in Liverpool and Jacqui's singing background with 'Wally' her dad, asking her to do the backing vocals.  We learn how music had such a big impact on her early years.  Not surprising is that Jacqui with help from her friend Lee Friese-Greene put Jamming Station on the map here in Totnes.  Today, the team consists of Jacqui, Beth Coombes, Cara Walker, Bambi and Anna Ling.  Lots of news regarding Totnes XX, the upcoming festival in Totnes.  

We invited artist Fiona Green at 8.20am on the show today to discuss her involvement with Totnes XX.  Her art exhibition is scheduled to open at The Gatehouse on Thursday 14th and goes on until Wed 20th October, 10-4.  It's called Passion for Colour and is in aid of Landworks, a resettlement and rehabilitation charity that works with people in prison and those at risk of going to prison.
