After a brief hiatus, we're back in studio! It never fails, but it's something about October that always results in busy lives with work, family, or other responsibilities. But regardless, we're back with another episode this week giving you a recap of what's been going on lately. Curtis finished up another antelope hunt in the Oklahoma Panhandle and it's been a slow start to the season, but it's been nice to be deer hunting again after all the prep leading up to this point!
We hope you can forgive us for missing a few weeks of uploads, hopefully we're back on track and can keep these things coming. Make sure you're following us on TikTok and Instagram to stay up to date and please leave a review/rating of the podcast on whatever platform you listen on!
A busy work week is the reason this episode is a day late, but we're still getting it out there! Ryan joins us on another episode this week to banter with us about the final deer season prep, share some of his thoughts about his upcoming season, and also tell us the story of his biggest buck to date! Then we ramble on about whatever other topic comes to mind. Shout out to Ryan for hopping on these last two episodes. It's always nice to bring someone on to switch things up. First and foremost, sorry for the less than ideal audio quality! Due to losing an episode, we had to record with Cade on the road for this week's episode, so Curtis is the only one in studio for this one. We've also finally got our friend Ryan calling in for another episode who originally hopped on during the White River fishing trip podcast. This episode allows us to to breakdown how Ryan and Curtis became friends and how the annual antelope hunt started. Then we move into discussing plans for this year's trip and share some stories from previous years.
As always, we hope you enjoy the episode. Follow us on Instagram and TikTok. And leave us a rating/review on whatever platform you listen on. Thanks for listening!
Thanks for coming back for another episode of the HookWorks Podcast. This week's episode has no direction whatsoever. We're calling it Aimless Hours and you can expect these types of episodes from time to time. Cade and Curtis are just hanging out shooting the sh*t talking about whatever comes to mind. Nights like these are the reason we had the idea for the podcast in the first place. This is an episode that we hope you guys can appreciate as just a break from the day to day, get a laugh or two out of and maybe enjoy a beer yourself while you're listening. We're keeping these train moving with the weekly episodes, so we hope you guys are enjoying.

The streak continues! This week's episode starts with us reflecting back on how far this podcast has actually come since we started this thing. We've still got a long way to go to get where we want, but it felt good to look back and realize how much it has improved since the early days. So we hope you guys are noticing that too. Then we move into the typical back and forth as we discuss the struggles we encounter during pre-season scouting for deer. We talk about what we're seeing so far, what we expect to see, as well as some strategy as we get closer to season. It's almost here!
If you're a return listener, we appreciate you coming back for each week's episode and if you're new, we hope you stick around for more! Make sure you're following us on TikTok and Instagram. Leave a follow and a rating on whatever platform you're listening to us on, we would really appreciate that! We'll see you guys next week!
On a hot streak here with the consistent uploads, so we hope you guys are enjoying them! We're definitely happy about the consistency and having a lot of fun recording these. This is a laid back episode with no specific topic in mind. We give some updates on how the early season scouting is going and move into some other topics that were just on our minds. Again, we hope you find some entertainment out of the episode. If you're coming back and listening to all of these, we are truly thankful! Make sure you're following us on all of the HookWorks socials and we'll catch you guys with another episode next week!
Staying on track with these weekly episodes! This week, we're joined by our friend Paul Rogers via phone call to talk about about some of our ideal out of state big game hunts that we'd like to go on. Paul is a former New Mexico resident who has some experience hunting western big game. We were able to get his insight on hunting New Mexico as well as share some stories, have some laughs, and discuss some other states and animals that we'd like to chase one day.
We've really been enjoying recording these episodes, lately, so we hope you listeners are enjoying them too.
Make sure you're following us on all of our socials (primarily TikTok and Instagram). Ask us some questions on those and provide some feedback! Give us a follow and leave us a rating on whatever platform you listen to the episodes on. And always, thank you for tuning in!
Back on track with some episodes and crunch time is here! It's hot, but there's a lot of work to be done to get ready for deer season and we've officially gotten started! In this week's episode, we're talking about what we've done so far to get ready to hunt whitetails this fall, and also just BS'ing some strategy as we learn more about hunting a new property. As always, we hope you guys enjoy listening and we'd love to hear about some of your deer season prep, so hit us up on our socials and give some stuff to talk about on another episode! We know we're nowhere near professionals, so give us some feedback on what we've talked about so far, and let us know what some of your favorite prep tactics are. Thanks for listening!
Kicking out this episode a little later than we would have liked due to life getting in the way, but figured late is better than never! In this week's episode, we reminisce on some old 4th of July memories and then move on to boat talk and lake days. Sorry for the late upload, but we hope you all had a great 4th of July and go to spend time with your loved ones celebrating this incredible country we live in! And don't worry, we've already got the next couple episodes recorded and coming down the pipeline, so expect more content next week!
It's that time of year, if you've been listening for a while, you knew it was coming. We're starting to get the itch for Whitetails! In this week's episode, we start the conversation of getting ready for deer season and then we make a hard pivot into a completely random conversation. Give us a like, follow, or rating on whatever platform you listen on and we'll catch you on another episode soon!
Finally back in the studio after a short break! We were excited to get an episode to you guys this week! This episode is just a focus on really what we've been up to lately, which is bowfishing. It's that time of year where the fishing is good, so that's what we're doing every chance we get. This is something we haven't actually spent a lot of time talking about on this podcast, so we thought this episode would be a good time to really focus on it. Let us know what you think! Ask us any questions you might have about bowfishing and let us know about anything else you might want to hear in regards to the sport. As always, thank you for listening, it really means a lot to us! We hope you enjoy and we will catch you on another episode soon!
The boys are back with another episode in a NEW recording studio! We've finally got a semi-permanent recording setup now that will hopefully make it a little easier to record these things and get them out to you guys! On this week's episode, Cade's wife Carlie has joined us to share some laughs about embarrassing moments, old high school stories and whatever else came up in the conversation. We also get to hear Carlie's point of view and how she's put up with our friendship over the years. As always, we welcome any feedback and happily accept any suggestions for things you guys want to hear about on the podcast. We hope you enjoy listening and we'll catch you guys on another one soon!
Finally! In this episode, we're coming to you from the cabin on the White River in Arkansas for Guys Trip 2023! We're joined by our boys Ryan and Dakota who were able to come on the fishing trip for the first ever podcast guests! Expect some individual episodes with these guys down the road. For this one, we just sat around and talked about the trip recap and all the funny moments and just the weekend overall. As always, we hope you enjoy. Let us know how you like the guest episodes and what you want to hear next!
Back and better than ever! We've made the investment to improve the quality of this podcast and hopefully make it a little easier to keep putting episodes out to you guys. This was kind of just a test recording with the new equipment, so bear with is as we learn how to use this stuff properly. Discussion topics aren't the most exciting on this episode, but we're just getting one more out before Guys Trip 2023. As always, we hope you find some enjoyment out of the episode and decide to come back for the next one. The next episodes should be some bangers with some guests and exciting content from the trip!
This episode is back to the usual and a little more tame than the previous one! The boys are back to the usual banter about boat projects and fishing prep. It's that time of year and that's what we're looking forward to, so that's what we've been talking most about lately. We also do a little dive into the upcoming Guys Trip 2023 and talk about what we're expecting for that. As always we hope you enjoy! Drop a like/comment or a follow and let us know what you want to hear! Thanks for listening and we hope you come back for the next one!
Late as usual, but the boys are back with another episode! This episode is turns into quite the change of pace from what you can usually expect to hear from this podcast. We'll be back with another one soon!
We're back! Happy late new year everyone! We do apologize for the long break. Things just got a little hectic around the holidays and the start of the new year. We're still here though! For the start of season 2, we recap how the final days of hunting season went and then jump straight into plans for the next season, which includes fishing and boat projects! From there we just do a little deep dive in some of our plans for 2023 and how we hope to progress with the podcast and our general lives moving forward. Hope you enjoy. As always, leave a like, follow, or any kind of interaction you're able to, and we'll have another episode out soon!
Deer season is in full swing for us here in Oklahoma. Season hasn't gone according to plan due to multiple setbacks, but we're staying at it! In this episode, we recap our hunts so far, discuss the deer movement on our hunting properties and how it has changed so far, and talk about some of our plans moving forward. We've had a bit of a slow start, but we're staying optimistic.
