This festive episode brings together all the best bits of a Horrells Christmas: food, family, crafting, and a wonky Christmas tree! Across the episode we drop into Steve and Cos’s outdoor cook-up, where they elevate the humble Brussels Sprout with warming Middle Eastern spices, toasted over open flames. Watch out for a sudden eruption of smoke from a most unlikely source!
Jules and Lauren share the story of their giant outdoor Nordmann Fir—the mammoth tree they battled to raise, only for it to nearly flatten them all in the process. Lauren then leads a focused, step-by-step craft tutorial, creating a candy-striped, oversized padded bow. From cutting the pattern and layering the wadding to shaping and assembly, it’s a simple project that delivers a striking festive decoration.
Jules and Steve discuss the pigs they’ve raised before and set out their plan to bring in four new pigs next spring. And to close the episode, Jules heads into the greenhouse to sow her favourite sweet peas, getting next year’s crop underway.
DIY Christmas bow tutorial, festive craft ideas, padded fabric bow, Christmas décor project, open-fire cooking, toasted spice mix, seasonal outdoor cooking, sowing seeds, gardening, homegrown cut flowers, sweet peas, rearing pigs, Christmas stories, UK family vlog, cosy winter lifestyle.
