Episode 61 dives hard into the âBeyondâ part of Island Green & Beyond. The boys set up shop in Toddâs legendary basement: From there itâs pure chaos in the best way possible.
They swap stories about daylight savings confusion (including parents with two watches and clocks set 20 minutes fast), memory hacks from Jim Kwik, and how brain tricks might actually help you remember names in your weekend foursome. Then itâs all-in on PEI Halloween drama: trick-or-treating getting moved for weather, being the âbig chocolate bar house,â potato and apple handouts, UNICEF money mysteriously âcompounding,â and kids running complex candy-arbitrage routes across counties.
Eventually, they stumble back toward sports with a cathartic breakdown of the Blue JaysâDodgers World Series: superstition, blown leads, wild moments, payroll rants, and the eternal debate of loyalty vs ring-chasing. Thereâs even a quick nod to King of the Hill at Glasgow to remind everyone this is still technically a golf podcast.
Grab a Coffee Crisp, steal a Reeseâs from the kidsâ bag, and come hang in the basement.
The boys are back with new audio gear and the same kitchen-table energy! Len digs up Toddâs secret rap past (yes, Atlantic & Capital was real), then we dive into Jays mania, Toddâs wild elevator run-in at the playoffs, and his VIP Ryder Cup adventure that somehow involved Trump, fake lanyards, and âIâm an 01â security clearance.
We wrap up with the Cavendish Cup victory recap, golf season debates, and a few classic Island chirps along the way. Grab a beer, hit play, and enjoy a laugh with the Island Green crew.
Weâre back in the kitchen and back on track after last weekâs audio hiccup (fired the whole audio staff⌠theyâre working for Kimmel now). This oneâs packed:
⢠Tales of regripping gone wrong, fat grips vs skinny grips, and a little mix-up you wonât believe.
⢠Chrisâ Whistler adventure - golf at Nicklaus North, Big Sky, and a zipline that nearly had him passed out mid-air.
⢠Inside the Atlantic Cup at Osprey Ridge - PEIâs sharp quarter-zips, top competition, wild formats, and Michael Kileyâs coming-out party against some of the regionâs best.
⢠The eternal debate: how many golf balls do you carry, when do you swap one out, and does anyone actually mark them the same way every time?
⢠Ryder Cup hype - Toddâs heading to Bethpage, and we dig into what makes this event unlike anything else in golf.
⢠Plus: the PEI menâs senior baseball team winning nationals, Belvedereâs lifetime membership draw, and the latest Currie Controversy
Itâs golf, stories, laughs, and a little Island flavour - exactly what you expect from Island Green & Beyond.
First things first â our apologies. The audio gremlins showed up in this one, so youâll notice a few rough patches. Thanks for sticking with us, because this episode is a special one.
For the very first time, all three of us â Len, Chris, and Todd â are gathered around the same table in Lenâs kitchen, coffees in hand. The conversation flows from Island golf to family chaos, with plenty of laughs and detours along the way.
Highlights include:
Itâs part golf podcast, part kitchen-table hangout, and 100% Island Green.
The mics are hot again as Len and Chris roll into Episode 57 with a brand-new intro and plenty of fairway chatter. This one brings the laughs, the stories, and a special guest:
Kicking things off with Top Notch Golf updates and a few gear steals you wonât want to miss.
Welcoming Todd Gregory to the pod: scratch golfer, three-time Fox Meadow champ, and maybe the Islandâs best table tennis player.
Local golf talk: Strathgartneyâs updates, Fox Meadow memories, and whatâs next for the Islandâs courses.
Toddâs take on tournament play, pressure golf, and how he balances it with the Tuesday crew.
The usual side-banter that veers from golf to laughs to a few digs at each other.
Another mix of golf insights and good fun - exactly why Island Green and Beyond is back in your rotation.
After a long layoff, Len and Chris are finally back on the mics, shaking off the rust and diving straight into golf, gossip, and plenty of side-banter. This episode has it all:
Welcoming Top Notch Golf as the showâs new sponsor (and hyping their big blowout sale).
Catch-up chatter from Clyde River discounts to TayTay + Travis Kelce engagement jokes.
The state of Island courses after the driest summer in years, and a big shoutout to the superintendents keeping greens alive.
A full Island Open recap: Hunter Burkeâs breakout, the Curtis Hall vs. Grant Koughan playoff, and why Len should read registration emails.
Junior golf talent exploding on PEI.
PGA Tour talk: Tommy Fleetwood finally gets his win, Brooke Henderson delivers, and why even Glenda is a Fleetwood fan.
Wrapping it up with the Marty Koughan Memorial Scramble, a few laughs about Amazing Race Canada, and the new segment of âclassic Currie controversy.â
Itâs the return of Island Green and Beyond⌠if you missed the green, weâre now back in play.
The boys chose a remote location to record this edition and were joined with the much younger guest host and Countryview âLegendâ Scott Morton.
Discussions included Scottâs modest golf career, the Halftime show at the Superbowl, the Wasted Management, Tiger Woods with SUN DAY RED, the return of Anthony Kim, and much more.
Why You Shouldnât Always Help Your Neighbours Shovel & the McRib is Back Itâs episode LIV (54) and we talk about the emerging Shankers Tour with Tour Founder Keegan MacKinnon. Len & Chris also realise that there is only so much golf content in the wintertime so mix it up with local newsworthy itemsâŚincluding the lack of news sources, the PEI weather forecasters job security, Superbowl, and MORE.
After a reasonably significant hiatus Len & Chris return for the 53rd episode with special guest Alison Griffin-Waddell, Executive Director of the PEI Golf Association.
Discussions includes Alisonâs impressive curling career, this yearâs Amateur events, a tricky rules scenario, amongst other topics. Len & Chris also put a wrap on 2023 PEI Players of the Year, discuss hydroponics, AI gambling picks, the Superbowl, our partner Red Rooster Golf, and the difficulties of securing sponsorships.

Episode 49 is finally here and Chris and Len get to catch up and talk about all the exciting things that have been happening in the Golf world and lots of other PEI news (namely a Hurricane!). Merlin Affleck joins us to catch us up on what happened with the clubhouse and the plans going forward, Len goes off on prizes in PEI golf tournaments and Chris buys a house and moves in two days before a hurricane. Smart move.
Len + Chris are back after a very busy month with a ton of updates!! We've got Club Championship results, an incredible Island Open, Stanhope Open, and more! Len + Chris get together to talk about Len's Mid-Master tournament in New Brunswick, The Eagles Glenn one-day tournament, the Belvedere Club Championship, talk about Music on the golf course, question who's the best Canadian golfer of all time and lots more!
Len + Chris give updates on all things PEI Golf for the last little while. Lots of shout outs, tournament updates, incredible scores, some hole in ones to bring up, and lots more. No interview this week, but that's ok, let's get the Island Golf News out there!
Huge new episode up (a few days after recording), with two of the PGA of Canada professionals Matt Kreutz + Trevor Yu! These two great guys stayed with Len for a week while Dundarave hosted the PGA TOUR Canada's PEI Open event. Stay tuned for more episodes (and less drinks from Len) in the coming weeks!
We had such a blast last week with Evan we decided to recruit one of his partners in crime and get Mike Favier on the podcast. Great talking to these two young lads and Mike certainly has some great stories and a great memory as well. The guys talk a little about their favorite swing tips, what's going on locally around the golf courses, and some more stories of the Medicine Hat junior trip come out as well. It's a dandy, enjoy folks!
They say that you only get one chance to make a first impression. This weeks guest, Evan Stewart, made an incredible first impression on Len by ironically impersonating the former British Open first tee announcer Ivor Robson. Evan joins Len for the entire episode and they discuss a very wide range of golf subjects from his current role at Belfast Highland Greens, to going to the nationals and the first time his Dad watched him golf. A ton of laughs are had and a big shoutout to Dan Martell as he's not only mentioned a ton during the episode, but we drop a sample of his music at the end of the episode. Enjoy!
If you were like Len who, living in PEI wasn't sure who Dave Williamson is, listen up. He's 2020 NS player of the year, former PGA Tour Canada player, 2008 NS AND NB Amateur Champion (in addition to 2010 Am champ in NS), and a Junior Champion up the wazoo. The best part about meeting with Dave however was his memory. Stories about playing against Adam Hadwin, buddies with Joel Dahmen, and stories about last weeks guest Anthony Warren. This guy was a beauty to listen to and the stories are fantastic. Nick + Len have a bunch of Masters talk of course and of course some local updates. Enjoy folks.
