Funny Moments from John and Gordy
John and Gordy recount a hilarious and relatable experience from a very cold Green Bay Packers game at Lambeau Field, highlighting the extreme Wisconsin winter conditions. Caller Steve shares that his beer was dripping down his chin and freezing, causing a "beer bib" to form, and they couldn't feel it happening because their faces were so numb. Another speaker follows up with a story about her 19-year-old nephew, who had eaten something, and it was frozen solid on his face; he couldn't even tell it was there when she asked him if he had ever heard of a napkin.
In this best of, the guys joke about the strange places where an Elvis impersonator might perform at a County Fair, suggesting he'd be right next to the tractor pulls and the carnival clowns, calling it a "choice gig". Later, while discussing the financial troubles of Wisconsin Eye, the public affairs network, they sarcastically suggest that John and Gordy should hold a fund drive on the sidewalks of State Street, passing a hat, to help fund it. Finally, they end with a laugh about the irony of the network's name: "It's an eye on Wisconsin," as they observe that one never would have thought of that. Guest: Pam Jahnke
