In this honest and wide-ranging episode, Katie and Amy sit down for a candid conversation about what it really looks like to be a mum, a partner, and a businesswoman with big ambition.
From choosing the right partner to the pressure of buying a house, to navigating guilt, comparison, and imposter syndrome, nothing is off limits.
If you’ve ever felt torn between being a present parent and a driven entrepreneur… if you’ve ever questioned whether your relationship can withstand your growth… or if you’ve ever felt “not enough” thanks to social media, this episode will make you feel understood, grounded, and empowered again.
The truth about balancing motherhood and business (and why guilt is so universal)
Why choosing the right partner is one of the biggest business decisions you'll ever make
Traditional vs modern relationship roles, and how to make them work today
Renting vs buying: why freedom may matter more than a mortgage
The story of nearly buying a house before lockdown, and how it would’ve caused bankruptcy
Imposter syndrome, social media pressure, and protecting your energy
Why you must curate your circle and surround yourself with the right people
How to build a life based on happiness, not society’s expectations
This is the real conversation every ambitious woman needs, honest, unfiltered, and full of permission to build life yourway.

Last week I went live on instagram with my gorgeous client Georgia, who’s been in my Growth Mastermind for just three months. And her journey is one I know so many of you will see yourselves in.
When she joined, her business was still very much a side hustle alongside a part-time job. She was exhausted, overthinking everything, and stuck in that horrible in-between phase where you know you want more… but you’re scared to fully commit.
Fast forward three months:
She’s left her job
She’s gained over 100 new clients
Her income has tripled
And most importantly, she’s clear and confident in her business for the first time
But what I love most about this conversation isn’t the numbers.
It’s the honesty.
We talk about the fear of leaving “safe” income.
That feeling of being busy but not really moving forward.
How comfort can quietly cap your growth.
And how having the right support and structure changes everything.
Georgia shares exactly what clicked for her, what she stopped doing, and why going all-in was the turning point.
If you’re currently:
– juggling a job and your business
– feeling burnt out but scared to let go
– or knowing deep down that you’re capable of more
Please go and listen to this replay.
You don’t need to rush anything.
You don’t need to make a big decision today.
But you do deserve clarity.
Meet Natalie who is part of my Growth Mastermind and just signed up for another 6 months!
Her journey is such a powerful reminder of what can happen when you lead with heart and finally back yourself.
When she joined, she felt lost in her direction, unsure whether she was even “ready” to invest again after past experiences. She’d worked with other coaches before, but nothing had clicked in the way she needed. What she really wanted was… someone who understood her. Someone she felt safe with. Someone she could actually be herselfaround.
Fast forward to now… and the transformation is unbelievable.
Natalie has:
• Built a rapidly growing waitlist (and her team member now has one too)
• Become fully booked months in advance
• Grown her confidence to the point of showing up unapologetically
• Hit viral growth on TikTok — attracting dream clients who feel deeply connected to her
• Re-signed for another 6 months because she’s only just getting started
What I love most is how she did it.
Not through complicated funnels or endless strategies… but by leading everything with genuine emotion, passion, and honesty. She talks the way she speaks in the salon. She shares from the heart. She shows up as herself, and people feel that.
Her story is such a reminder that standing out in business isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being real. Being consistent. And letting people see the person behind the brand.

Loved doing this Client Success Story with Jodie Brown.
Jodie came into Growth Mastermind a few months ago feeling like something was missing. She was working hard, doing everything she could, but still felt like she wasn’t quite hitting the level she knew she was capable of. She wanted community. Direction. And women around her who understood the journey she was on.
Fast forward to today and her business looks completely different.
- She’s expanded her salon.
- She’s grown her team.
- Her courses are consistently selling out.
- And her revenue is up by around 75%! Which even surprised me when she said it live.
What I love most is how she’s built this growth. Not through big leaps, but through consistency, proper systems, understanding her numbers and implementing every single week. She’s one of those women who listens, takes action and watches things shift quickly because of it.

This is the episode I never thought I’d record.
After 16 years of running my award-winning salon, I’ve had to make one of the hardest business decisions of my life, to close its doors.
Just weeks before moving to Dubai, I received notice that the building was being sold. What followed was shock, heartbreak, and a huge test of resilience.
In this raw and honest conversation, I open up about the reality behind closing a long-standing business, how I supported my team through redundancies, and the unexpected lessons it’s taught me about focus, letting go, and growth.
If you’re a salon owner, educator, or coach building your next chapter, this episode will remind you that sometimes the universe forces a pivot, not to break you, but to redirect you.
In this episode, I share:
What really happened when I got the call to vacate my salon
The emotional reality of letting go of your first business
How I navigated redundancy and looked after my team
Why multiple income streams saved me (and how to build them the right way)
The power of focus and how it led to a £200k launch in my coaching business
Why resilience is the number one skill every entrepreneur needs
UPDATE: THE SALON BUILDING WAS SOLD IN THE END AND THE TEAM WAS EXTREMELY SUPPORTIVE. THE TEAM WAS GIVEN THE CLIENTS TO SET UP THEIR OWN BUSINESSES & THOSE THAT WANTED JOBS WE HELPED. COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER TEAM DURING THIS TIME. UNFORTUNATELY CLOSING THE SALON CAME WITH A LOT OF TROLLING WHICH I HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH.

Next up on our Client Success Live Series over on Instagram is Jennifer from Balayage Baby.
Jennifer joined my SCALE mastermind in July.
Not even halfway through the programme… and she’s already:
Dropped a day behind the chair
Doubled her income
Built a team from her home salon
Created more freedom in her week
And yes, she works from home. I know so many stylists feel like that caps their potential, but Jennifer is proving the complete opposite. She’s built a beautiful, luxury experience from an annex in her garden with its own entrance and car park. Her clients love it… and it’s allowed her to grow in ways she didn’t expect.
What I loved most was hearing her talk about confidence.
She said she always wanted more but didn’t know how to get there… and now she’s hiring, launching education, and planning new income streams she once thought were “too big.”
This is why I do what I do.
The strategy matters, but the implementation is where the magic happens. And she implements. Every single week.

Welcome to my client success story lives over on Instagram & we wanted to stream them here on the podcast too!
Today I interviewed Maria from Tilly Lash. A product line, supplier & training academy. Maria has been within the SCALE Mastermind for the past 12 months and wow, she has done incredible.
When Maria joined me, she wouldn’t even turn her camera on. She avoided face-to-cams, avoided being seen, avoided using her voice. She had all the knowledge, all the passion, but none of the confidence to show it publicly.
Twelve months later she’s everywhere.
Her TikTok is flying.
Her shop and online store have grown massively.
People now travel to buy from her and train with her because they know the woman behind the brand.
What changed everything for her was having support, community and someone in her corner who actually cared about her winning. She said something on the live that really stuck with me:
“You didn’t just teach me business. You helped me believe I could actually do it.”
And that’s why I share these stories.
Success doesn’t come from the “perfect” strategy. It comes from taking the scary steps, showing up when you don’t feel ready, surrounding yourself with the right people, and letting yourself grow.

In this emotional and powerful episode, I’m joined by not one, but two incredible women, my mum, Karen (aka the original KG), and Amy, founder of Mooeys Group, who interviews us both.
We dive into the untold story of how my mum built Stepping Stones, a CIC-turned-charity that supported hundreds of vulnerable women through childcare, trauma support, and her iconic “Coffee, Cake & Chat” groups. You’ll hear how she started with just a vision, no experience, and a whole lot of purpose.
We explore the incredible parallels between my mum’s community work and the coaching, retreats, and masterminds I run today, without either of us realising how aligned our journeys were.

And… yes, we cry. A lot.
If you’ve ever questioned your path or felt alone in your journey, this episode will remind you that you’re more powerful than you think.
