Old Cassidy is a brand new premium blend of bourbon from Rare Character. Previously, Old Cassidy had been released as a single barrel product, but this inaugural blend will be an annual release that will showcase the best of the barrels that Rare Character has. Distilled and aged in Kentucky and bottled in Lexington, this release represents a deliberate selection of barrels ranging in age, with 18-year-old Kentucky bourbon as the base of the blend. Each barrel for this blend was chosen for its unique contribution of flavor and character, and the result is rich, complex, and harmonious bourbon worthy of being celebrated. In this short, we give you our honest take on this brand new bottle and also speculate on what barrels we believe may have been blended to create this bourbon.
