🧑🏫 Mature Medic Platform Spotlights: Season 3, Episode 1 🧑🏫
We are kicking off our new season with the wonderful Maggie! Maggie first applied to medicine while studying for the IB in Poland and got to interview stage, but her path took her to a BSc in Biomedicine at Lancaster University, before going on to study an MSc in Stratified Medicine and Pharmacological Innovation at Glasgow University. After graduating she started work as a medical writer while working on competitive UCAT scores to apply to medicine again. Three years of improving UCAT scores and two interviews later, Maggie is now in her second year of undergraduate medicine at Glasgow University continuing to work as a Senior Medical Writer! We chat about all paths having their own advantages, the trade-off of working so hard to gain a place to study medicine but having to work to maintain that place and the feeling of not making the most of the opportunities, and all about her debut novel that will be available to read soon!
