On this week’s show, we looked ahead to the final weekend of the EFL season, which is going to be particularly significant for one Midlands club – Derby County. The Rams suffered their sixth successive league defeat last week at Swansea, and Wayne Rooney’s side now know that they must beat relegation rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday if they want to avoid the drop.

Bitter rivals West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers went head-to-head in the Premier League earlier this week. The Baggies managed to extend their unbeaten home run in the Black Country derby – which dates back to September 1996 – thanks to Mbaye Diagne’s second half header, which meant that the game finished one apiece.
