Today was the first day Disneyland was closed so we decided to use the time to do another show. It has been months since our last podcast but today seemed appropriate considering the lockdown the country is in. A big special thanks to our friend Jack for joining us. He was pretty bummed his trip to America was ruined but he's in good spirits considering the situation.

Happy Friday, March 13th Everyone! Weather in the parks today will be cloudy with rain and a high of 62 degrees. Park hours today, Disneyland will be open from 8 am - 12 am and DCA 8 am - 10 pm. As we all know by now, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, for the first time in history all Disney Parks Worldwide and Disney Cruise Line are set to close. The Disneyland Resort will be closed beginning tomorrow March 14th and will remain closed until March 31st until further notice. This closure also includes The Downtown Disney District. The Disneyland Resort Hotels will remain open until the 16th to allow guests to plan accordingly. Thankfully, The Walt Disney Company has stated that all Cast Members will be paid during the closure. What does this mean for AP’s? A statement was released this morning for WDW AP’s stating their passes would be extended the number of days the parks are closed. We are assuming this will be the case for Disneyland AP’s. This is the 4th time in Disneyland history that the parks will close and the 1st time in history it will be closed for this length of time. The 1st being the day after JFK was killed, Then the Northridge Earthquake and lastly, on 9/11. During this time, we can’t stress enough, don’t panic but do what you can to stay safe & healthy and by all means, wash your hands often and if you are sick, for the sake of all the people around you, stay home!

Happy Tuesday, March 10th Everyone! Weather in the parks today will be cloudy with rain and a high of 67 degrees. Park hours today, Disneyland will be open from 8 am - 12 am and DCA 8 am - 10 pm. Happy Anniversary to D23! On this day in the year 2009, Disney officially launched D23, which is their first official Fan organization - with the premiere issue of Disney Twenty-Three Magazine. Paying homage to 1923, the year the Walt Disney Company was started. The official trailer for Disney’s Live-Action Jungle Cruise has just been released. Jungle Cruise hits theaters on July 24th. Attention AP’s! Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11th, and every Wednesday night for the rest of this month, You will be able to ride Soarin Over California for an Extra Hour after the park closes. Valid AP required and AP’s must be in the park before closing.

Happy Monday, March 9th Everyone! Weather in the parks today will be partly cloudy with a high of 74 degrees. Park hours today, Disneyland will be open from 8 am - 12 am and DCA 8 am - 10 pm. In Park News, Jessie’s Critter Carousel is now open in DCA after it’s refurbishment. In More Park news, There is a New Dole Whip Raspberry Lemon Float from Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland in Disneyland. This whipped float has raspberry lemon swirl whip POG juice, diced mango & strawberry pieces, toasted coconut on the rim & topped with a slice of candied kiwi. It costs $7.99 and no AP discount is available Disney just announced their New Magic Perks Program for Annual Passholders at the Disneyland Resort. The program allows AP’s to have free swag, Sneak peeks for upcoming movies, exclusive after-hours access to attractions and more. Full details can be found online under AP Magic.

Happy Friday, March 6th Everyone! Weather in the parks today will be mostly cloudy with a high of 71 degrees. Park hours today, Disneyland will be open from 8 am - 12 am and DCA 8 am - 10 pm. Today in the year 2011, Disney’s Animated feature, Mars Needs Moms premiered at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles, Ca. Ian & Barley from Disney Pixar’s Onward are officially at DCA. Beginning today, there is a New Meet & Greet with Both Characters where guests can meet them daily at Pixar Pier. And for a limited time, Guests can also see & take pics with Guinevere the Van. Speaking of, Disney Pixar’s Onward is officially now in theaters! Will you be watching?

Happy Thursday, March 5th Everyone! Weather in the parks today will be mostly cloudy with a high of 78 degrees. Park hours today, Disneyland will be open from 9 am - 10 pm and DCA 9 am - 8 pm. On this Day in the year 2010, Disney’s Live-Action Dark Fantasy Adventure Alice in Wonderland was released in theaters. Reminder for AP’s, Tonight is the last night you will be able to ride Indiana Jones Adventure after park hours. Once again, Wristbands will be required to ride. AP’s can pick up a wristband while supplies last at Star Wars Launch Bay beginning at 6:30 pm. Valid AP required. Ian & Barley from Disney Pixar’s Onward are coming to DCA. Beginning tomorrow, March 6th, there will be a New Meet & Greet with Both Characters where guests can meet them daily at Pixar Pier. Pixar’s Onward hits theaters tomorrow!

Happy Wednesday, March 4th Everyone! Weather in the parks today will be mostly sunny with a high of 73 degrees. Park hours today, Disneyland will be open from 9 am - 10 pm and DCA 9 am - 8 pm. Happy Anniversary Zootopia! Today in the year 2016, Disney’s 55th Animated Feature Film, Zootopia opened in US Theaters. Cozy Cone Motel area and all its Quick service kiosks are fully closed right now in DCA as it's being refurbished. No set date yet as to when it will reopen. Reminder for AP’s, In Celebration of the 25th Anniversary, Tonight & tomorrow night, AP’s will be able to ride Indiana Jones Adventure after park hours. Wristbands will be required to ride. AP’s can pick up a wristband while supplies last at Star Wars Launch Bay beginning at 6:30 pm. Valid AP required. In Downtown Disney News, Sprinkles Cupcakes now has a Bailey’s Irish Coffee Cupcake. This cupcake has chocolate coffee cake topped with green Bailey’s Irish Cream Frosting. Available now until March 17th.

Happy Tuesday, March 3rd Everyone! Weather in the parks today will be sunny with a high of 80 degrees. Park hours today, Disneyland will be open from 9 am - 10 pm and DCA 9 am - 8 pm. Happy 25th Anniversary to Indiana Jones Adventure! On this day in the year 1995, Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple Of the Forbidden Eye attraction officially opened to the public in Adventureland in Disneyland. In Celebration of the 25th Anniversary, Tomorrow March 4th & Thursday, March 5th, AP’s will be able to ride Indiana Jones Adventure after park hours. Wristbands will be required to ride. AP’s can pick up a wristband while supplies last at Star Wars Launch Bay beginning at 6:30 pm. Valid AP required. Automated Hand Sanitizer Stations have been added to nearly every Counter Service Restaurant at the Disneyland Resort due to Coronavirus Concerns. Half of the Disney Parks now closed out of precaution and possible closures for our parks if there were to be an outbreak. Disney is taking every precaution to ensure the parks stay clean & sanitary. However, let’s not let this be a substitution for us to be properly washing our hands often while we’re in the parks. And PSA, if you’re sick, please stay home!

On this day in the year 2009, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience hit theaters. It was their Big Screen debut. Details just released for the AP’s on how to ride Indiana Jones Adventure after park hours. March 4th & 5th AP’s will be able to ride Indiana Jones Adventure after park hours. Wristbands will be required to ride. AP’s can pick up a wristband while supplies last at Star Wars Launch Bay at 6:30 pm on the select dates. Tomorrow Friday, February 28th! The Brand New & Much Anticipated Magic Happens Parade Debuts in Disneyland with 2 shows. The first one at 3:30 pm and again at 6 pm. Also beginning tomorrow In DCA, The Ever so Popular Food & Wine Festival Begins. Be sure to purchase a Sip & Savor Pass as well as pick up a Foodie guide to experience it all. The Food & Wine Festival runs through April 21st. Also beginning tomorrow, Fan Favorite, Soarin Over California Returns and will stick around for the duration of the Food & Wine Festival.

Today in Disney History in the year 1953, Walt Disney was given the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement in Motion Pictures. Breaking News Yesterday, Bob Iger announced he has stepped down as CEO of Disney but will remain as Executive Chairman through the remainder of his contract which ends on December 31st, 2021. Iger will continue to lead the company’s creative endeavors. Bob Chapek, a 27 year Disney veteran who leads the company’s Park division has been named CEO as of yesterday. We wish them both well.

Happy Tuesday, February 25th Everyone! Weather in the parks today will be Sunny with a high of 84 degrees. Park hours today, Disneyland will be open from 9 am - 11 pm and DCA 9 am - 8 pm. Today in a little DCA History, Walt Disney Imagineering and Cast Members at DCA buried a time capsule containing items specific to the park, in Buena Vista Plaza. The Time capsule will be opened by Disneyland Resort Cast members in the year 2037. A couple of new menu items have been added to Disneyland. A New Shrimp, Ham & Pineapple Specialty Skewer with Pina Colada Sauce can now be found at Bengal Barbecue. And Steps away at Tropical Hideaway, new PB&J Mochi and Sweet Lumpia are now on the menu. In Downtown Disney News, Sprinkles is celebrating Fat Tuesday with BOGO. Today only when you whisper “Mardi Gras” when you buy a cupcake, you get a second one free!

A New In-Ride Hack has been revealed for the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, allowing guests to unlock Chewie Mode! This New Mode replaces Hondo’s verbal queues with Chewbacca yelling in Wookie the Entire ride. Instructions on how to Activate Chewie Mode can now be found Online. A Lot beginning This Friday, February 28th! The Brand New & Much Anticipated Magic Happens Parade Debuts in Disneyland. In DCA, The Ever so Popular Food & Wine Festival Begins. And Fan Favorite, Soarin Over California Returns for a limited time. Just Announced, Starbucks will be launching a new Addition to their “Been There” Series - A Star Wars Collection Series of Mugs will be released this May at Starbucks in Disney Parks!
