On May 14th of 1983, news began to spread quickly that a local attorney and former commissioner was found in a nearby county deceased in his vehicle. Madison County law enforcement discovered a badly burnt car with a man inside who had been charred beyond recognition. They quickly learned that the vehicle belonged to Edward Cates, a prominent individual in Jackson, Mississippi.Later it was revealed that Cates was alive and well in Georgia. He was arrested and charged with capital murder and embezzlement. By January of 1984 he entered a plea negotiation that would dropped the murder charge down to manslaughter, resulting in only a 20 year prison sentence.Cates never revealed who the victim was that he used as a body double in the burned car. A custodial visitation prompted a missing persons report for three sisters who were never returned to their custodial parent. Their mother has not seen her three daughters since may of 2025.Evelyn, Madelyn, and Rosalyn Valenzuela live with their mother in Los Angeles, California. They have visitation with their father, whom allegedly does not have a permanent residence.In may, over two months ago, their father picked up all three girls for a visitation and has not returned them to their mother. Paula Ann Wade and her 3-year-old son, Brandon Lee Wade, disappeared from Valdosta, Georgia in October of 2002. In 1997 Kemberly Ramer was starting her senior year of high school in Opp, Alabama where she lived with her father. Kemberly was also planning for college and enjoying every moment of her last year in high school with friends, sports, and all the milestones that she worked towards in school. On the weekend of August 15 in 1997, everything Kemberly worked for, everything her parents were looking forward to watching her experience, was taken away from her family before they even knew anything happened. It was a busy weekend filled with sports, senior pictures and friends. Kemberly ended her Friday night on August 15th the same way most teens do, hanging out with her friends and her boyfriend. After looking for Kemberly around the house, her father called her mother to see if maybe Kemberly was with her. Unfortunately, she was not and her mother said that she thought Kemberly was at her father’s house. After notifying law enforcement, a few key details eventually emerged in the search for Kemberly. On Friday night, someone made phone calls from Kemberly’s house that she shared with her father. The calls were placed in the middle of the night to numbers that no one in the home could recognize. All the calls were made to a certain geographic area but none of the calls were answered. It is assumed that the suspect placed the calls, and law enforcement believe they know who that suspect is.. Professor Dan Markel was recently quoted at the sentencing hearing for Leilani Simon. Dan Markel's life was taken in a conspiracy orchestrated by the family of his former wife and the mother of his children. Prior to the senseless actions that took his life, Dan's work as a law professor and his children were his primary focus in life and he enjoyed a full and active presence in the lives of his family, friends and faith community. Several years after Dan's passing, Quinton Simon was reported missing in Georgia. During week two the state will continue calling witnesses as trial watchers and reporters line up at 3:00 a.m. in an attempt to witness the long awaited trial. Richard Allen is accused of murdering Abigail Williams and Liberty German in Delphi, Indiana over seven years ago. The teen girls were close friends and decided to take advantage of their day off school by taking a walk at the Monon High Bridge in Carroll County, Indiana. Initially they were reported missing when no one could reach them on the phone or find them at the bridge. The case quickly became international news when the investigation seemed to reach a halt and investigators released footage of a man the public calls “Bridge Guy” approaching Abby and Libby on the bridge. The state of Indiana alleges that Richard Allen is “Bridge Guy.” The man seen in a short clip released by law enforcement that showed a blurry video of a man walking towards Abby and Libby on the Monon High Bridge the day they were murdered. Shortly after Allen was appointed two public defenders, new faces began to report about the case through independent platforms.
