Christopher Gasti Continued

If you listened to last week’s episode, then you heard some of the great stories that Christopher Gasti told and we know one thing for sure - you’re in for another treat this week! You’ll hear more about Christopher's time working for the Walt Disney Company and the Oriental Land Company in Tokyo. The Mouse and Me
Christopher Gasti

Christopher Gasti grew up in Orlando when WDW was being built and then wound up working at WDW, then Tokyo Disneyland, and ultimately at The Disneyland Resort. He did over 25 shows in the parks and did just as many parades and special events in cities including New York, LA, Toronto, Las Vegas, and Sao Paulo.

These two fast friends wound up talking for quite some time and they didn’t even come close to talking about everything Christopher has done for Disney! Also during the interview, the tables were turned on Scott a bunch of times!

Their mutual friend and former podcast Guest, Lisa Leonard, introduced them to each other and Scott was so glad that she did! We know you're going to love hearing Christopher's stories about his time working for the Walt Disney Company as much as Scott did. Enjoy!

The Mouse and Me
I Get Around - WDW November 2025

Under the California Sun, Scott does roam, humming the echoes of Good Vibrations along with foam.

The Surfin' Safari begins at dawn, while the Fun, Fun, Fun of the waves rolls on.

He pauses where the sea meets the God Only Knows sky, dreaming with a Wouldn't It Be Nice sigh.

The breeze carries whispers of Don't Worry Baby near, as gulls cry melodies only his heart can hear.

Through the sand, he traces a Sloop John B rhyme, tides singing I Get Around to the rhythm of time.

When twilight falls on this Endless Summer shore, he'll leave with The Beach Boys in his soul forevermore.

The Beach Boys were the last group to play at this year's Eat to the Beat concert series at the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival...and Scott finally got to see them in concert!

During this episode, not only will you hear some of their music, you'll also hear about some of the great food, snacks, and fun and crazy cool experiences Scott had with his good friends, Karen, Brian, and Russell. As a bonus, you'll get to hear a bunch from Karen and Russell, two former Guests on The Mouse and Me. (Listen to their interviews!)

Have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

The Mouse and Me
Q&A with Scottie J

Every so often, a listener will email or DM Scott with a question about The Mouse and Me. He's also been asked a good amount of questions about the show in person. In some of the earlier episodes, he answered those questions and he has a bunch more to answer in this episde!

Scott answers the most popular question he's asked about the show...and that's how he came up with the idea and the name for The Mouse and Me. He also answers questions about his relationships with the Guests - if he's personal friends with all of them, what equipment and recording and editing software he uses, how long it takes to make an episode, a few specific questions from his interviews with Roz Ryan and Nicholas Dromard, who his dream Guest is, and more!

Fantastical Flashback - BOO! Halloween is Materializing!

Welcome, foolish mortals, to the The Mouse and Me! Kindly adjust the volume of your listening device so that you can hear every word your Ghost Host says. There’s no turning back now.

Our episode begins here…with this silly intro mimicking the famous stretching room voiceover in The Haunted Mansion attraction at WDW and The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim.

Now…consider this dismaying observation: Scott could do this entire episode in this voice, which offers you this chilling challenge: listen to the whole thing this way or find a way out?

Enjoy this week’s Magical Moments!

Magical Moments - Opposites Attract(ions)

This Magical Moments is Opposites Attract(ions). See what we did there? Scott will be talking about some of the major rides that are at both the Disneyland Resort and at Walt Disney World and what makes them different from each other.

Each Disney park, whether in Anaheim, Orlando, Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, or Tokyo, has a distinct identity and theme, and all of these influence the selection and adaptation of rides.
The size and layout of each park can also impact the design and placement of rides. For example - Disneyland in California, being smaller, has different versions of rides compared to the larger Walt Disney World to fit within the park's footprint.
There’s also technology. As it evolves, Imagineers can incorporate new features and effects into rides when recreating them for another park.
And then there’s Guest feedback to identify popular rides and make improvements or adaptations to enhance the overall attraction experience.
So…with all of that in mind…jump in and enjoy this episode!
