Cole Butcher picked up his first career New Smyrna win in a big spot while also winning the Southern Super Series Championship on top of the Governor's Cup victory. Plus, we had the moment no one really wanted to see when Big Gravy lost control and found the outside wall with his beautiful Mustang :(

Quick show for you here this week since there was no local racing at New Smyrna. The Quarter Midgets battled rain all Saturday evening making for a long night at the track, but everyone powered through the best they could. Nascar was in action at Bristol and I was expecting a snooze fest and we got the opposite. It was a wild race with tire wear and all kinds of twists and turns! It was another one of those rainy mid-summer days that lasted into the evening. But everyone came together and we were able to get the races in at New Smyrna Speedway despite persistent mist and lightning. Once the races did get started it was a wild night full of great racing, wild crashes and our first champion crowned for the 2025 season! This is a bit of a different episode, I take some time to personally thank every one in the racing community for their continued support. A lot has happened over the last week and the support from you all has been amazing! Things get a bit personal in the first half but there is plenty of racing talk to be had! With New Smyrna Speedway off for the weekend we were able to celebrate our 2024 track champions with a trip to the Daytona International Speedway to be part of opening ceremonies! NASCAR hooked us up with an amazing suite and went all out for us this year. Plus we got to see a really good race to boot!
