Hayley is the mother of two girls. When she was 20, her yoga teacher used to say to her, “what we fear, we attract or create”, and this often rang in her ears when, at 6 months pregnant with her second child, Hayley lived to see her worst fear come true.
With a 1-year-old, and a baby on the way, their father told Hayley he had never loved her and walked out the door. As Hayley fought the fight of her life against an outcome she couldn’t bare, what was over 4 ½ years of hostility and pain.
Hayley and her ex attended court at least 9 times, and mediation at least 5 times. Hayley often wonders what good could have come if all of the time and public and private financial resources that had been spent on dividing up the children after the separation had been spent on helping the parents stay together in the first place.
We seem to have our priorities so wrong.
However, Hayley acknowledges some things are out of our control, and not all relationships can work. In these cases, Hayley wants to empower people going through a separation with practical steps they can take to minimise stress, reduce the cost, avoid things that might exacerbate the trauma, and move through the process of healing. That is why she started Partior.

Sonya Richardson was born in Katherine in the Northern Territory and had her first child (now have 3) shortly after her partner and she built their first home and she was 20 by the time they moved into it.
