The Season of Self Love
Vault Release: Reinvention, Grief, Creativity & Choosing Yourself Again (with Gregory Coppola + Dani Foster)
Hey my beautiful people—quick note before we begin. Today’s episode is a special vault release—a conversation I recorded earlier that I didn’t get to share when it first aired. And honestly, it’s right on time. Because our 2026 theme is Reclaimed & Unashamed, and this episode is all about reinvention, grief, creativity, and choosing yourself again. So take what you need, let it meet you where you are, and let’s get into it.In this powerful episode of The Season of Self-Love Podcast, Nyomi Banks is joined by Gregory Coppola (artist, author, and creative force) and Dani Foster (writer, spiritual guide, and co-author) for a deep conversation inspired by their book I Am Pink.Together, they explore what happens when you stop chasing the “formula” you were taught—work harder, achieve more, stay small, keep the mask on—and instead surrender to the truth of who you are becoming. This episode is a heartfelt blend of reflection, grief processing, spiritual alignment, and creative rebirth, and it’s especially for anyone who feels like they’re standing in the hallway of life—unsure which door to open next.In this episode, we talk about:
  • Reinvention after burnout: Gregory shares what it looked like to walk away from Hollywood and the reward system that promised happiness—but delivered emptiness.
  • Grief as a turning point: Dani opens up about losing her husband to pancreatic cancer and how grief reshaped her identity, her voice, and her path.
  • Surrender as a spiritual practice: How letting go of control can open the door to a life you couldn’t have designed on your own.
  • Creativity as medicine: Why art, writing, and storytelling can hold you together while you’re rebuilding your life.
  • Breaking the “formula”: The pressure to be who the world expects—and what it takes to reclaim your truth.
  • Visibility, courage, and self-love: Being seen can feel risky, but hiding costs you your life force.
  • Community and chosen connection: The power of having someone who can hold space for your messy becoming.
Key takeaways (Reclaimed & Unashamed energy):
  • You are allowed to outgrow who you used to be.
  • You can honor grief without letting it define your future.
  • Self-love isn’t always soft—it can be messy, brave, and disruptive.
  • Your creativity isn’t “extra.” It may be the very thing that brings you back to yourself.
About the guests:Gregory Coppola is an artist, author, and entrepreneur. He’s the founder of Stir Up the Paint, a paint-and-sip experience built around creativity, connection, and transformation.Dani Foster is a writer and spiritual guide who supports others in reclaiming their truth through reflection, intuitive tools, and deep self-inquiry.Mentioned in this episode:
  • I Am Pink (book) — available on Amazon (print + Kindle) and Audible (audiobook)
  • Gregory Coppola: gregorycoppola.com
If this episode resonated:Share it with someone who’s reinventing themselves, grieving a version of their old life, or trying to find their way back to their truth. And if you’re stepping into 2026 with us—Reclaimed & Unashamed—leave a review so more beautiful souls can find this healing space.

The Season of Self Love
6 Questions to Ask Before Going Into 2026 (Special Episode) | Season of Self-Love Podcast
This short, powerful special episode is your pause before the push—your moment of clarity before you cross the threshold into 2026.
Host Nyomi Banks closes out the Year of ReBirth with six soul-stirring journal questions designed to help you enter the new year on purpose, not in chaos. If you’ve been feeling like you need direction, emotional clarity, or a reset before stepping into the next season (Reclaimed & Unashamed), this episode is your invitation to slow down, breathe, and tell yourself the truth.
Grab your journal and reflect on:
  1. What am I leaving in 2025 on purpose?
  2. What do I want 2026 to feel like daily? (not the highlight reel—real life)
  3. What is my non-negotiable boundary for 2026?
  4. What am I committed to healing—not just managing?
  5. What is the one goal that changes everything if I stay consistent?
  6. Who am I becoming—and what do they do differently?
Nyomi reminds you: you’re not just entering a new year—you’re arriving as the person you’re becoming. And if you feel led, she invites you to share one of your answers with her as a way to anchor your intention.

The Season of Self Love
From Grateful Heart to Giving Hands: The Gratitude–Service Connection | Mindset Monday
What if gratitude isn’t just a feeling, but an energy that wants to move through you and become action?
In this powerful Mindset Monday episode, host Naomi Banks closes out the November “Giving Back” series and the final show of the year by exploring how true gratitude naturally overflows into service. This is not about performative “I’m thankful” posts—it’s about becoming a living “thank you” with your life.
Naomi guides you through a grounding heart-centered meditation, then unpacks:
  • How gratitude becomes generosity when we let it move, not just sit inside us
  • The difference between serving from guilt vs. serving from gratitude (and why one burns you out and the other fills you up)
  • Her personal journey from struggle to purpose to service—from adult industry stigma and shame to spiritual awakening, self-love, and advocacy
  • How her grandmother, her explant surgeon Dr. Sood, and BII advocate Laura Bowden shaped her calling and how she now honors them through her service
  • Why abundance mindset (“I get to give”) transforms how you show up for others
  • How joy, purpose, and healing deepen when you serve from your overflow, not your emptiness
You’ll also get practical reflection prompts and a “gratitude-to-action” practice:
  • Write down 10 people or experiences you’re grateful for
  • Choose one person to honor by serving someone else in their name
  • For every blessing, commit to one act of service—letting gratitude become motion, not just emotion
Nyomi reminds you that gratitude and service are two sides of the same coin:
You are blessed, and you are a blessing.
As this year’s “Rebirth” theme closes and next year’s “Reclaimed & Unashamed” begins, this episode invites you to carry a new truth into the next season: service isn’t meant to drain you—it’s meant to renew you.
Listen in if you’re ready to let your grateful heart become giving hands.

The Season of Self Love
The Power of Service and Community with Dr. Victoria Medeley: Vulnerability, Allyship & Self-Love
In this powerful episode of The Season of Self-Love Podcast, host Nyomi Banks sits down with Dr. Victoria “Dr. V” Medvec—speaker, mental health advocate, organizational psychologist, and author of Act Like an Ally, Work with an Ally—to explore how service, vulnerability, and allyship all connect back to self-love. Dr. V shares her deeply personal journey with mental illness, cancer, and alopecia—and how choosing to shave her head and “own” her baldness became an act of radical self-acceptance. She also talks about burning out in traditional workplaces, then creating a company that actually honors humanity, flexibility, and mental health. In This Episode, You’ll Hear About:
  • How living with invisible and visible challenges shaped Dr. V’s purpose
  • Her decision to shave her remaining hair and why she sees that as winning, not losing
  • What it means to build a workplace that doesn’t require people to sacrifice their well-being
  • The moment she pulled her wig off on stage during a talk and reintroduced herself, fully vulnerable
  • Why vulnerability is a bridge to deeper connection, not a weakness
  • How to give from a place of overflow instead of depletion
  • The real meaning of allyship—and why “ally” is not a label you give yourself
  • How her book Act Like an Ally, Work with an Ally is literally two books in one, designed to be read in partnership
Key Themes & Takeaways:
  • Vulnerability as Strength: Sharing your story (cancer, mental health, alopecia, grief) can unlock connection, support, and healing—for you and others.
  • Self-Love & Service: Serving others from a full cup is part of self-love; serving from depletion leads to resentment and burnout.
  • Allyship as Action: Ally is a verb, not an identity. True allyship is a two-way partnership between the ally and the person they’re supporting.
  • Daily Check-In Practice: Ask yourself:
    • What’s one thing I did today that served others?
    • What’s one thing I did today that served myself?
About the Book: Act Like an Ally, Work with an Ally is a dual-sided book: one side for allies, one side for partners (those receiving allyship). The two sides reference each other and are designed to be used together—perfect for teams, leaders, and anyone committed to real inclusion. Learn more at: madelysolutions.com/allyship This episode is for you if you’re:
  • Navigating your own healing while still wanting to serve
  • Curious about real-world allyship (beyond buzzwords)
  • Ready to embrace vulnerability as a pathway to deeper self-love and community

The Season of Self Love
The Power of Service and Community with Jamie Lerner | Wisdom Wednesday
Join host Nyomi Banks on The Season of Self-Love Podcast for a Wisdom Wednesday conversation with coach Jamie Lerner. Explore how community service becomes an extension of self-love, why you must fill your cup before giving to others, and how authentic service transforms both giver and receiver.

In This Episode:
  • Why self-love must come before service to others
  • The difference between giving from a full cup vs. an empty one
  • How to find service opportunities that align with your authentic self
  • Overcoming burnout and the "should" mentality in giving
  • Jamie's powerful story about her mother and self-connection
About Jamie Lerner:

Jamie is a coach, connector, and lifelong advocate of living from alignment and purpose. She brings a beautiful perspective on how community service becomes an extension of self-love.

Key Insights:

Service Starts with Self-Love: "We need to be in a place where we are loving ourselves before we can authentically be in service to others. Once we're in that place, it never feels like service. It's just the natural extension of who we are.

"The Full Cup Philosophy:
  • You can't give from an empty cup without resentment
  • Receivers can feel when giving comes from someone who isn't full enough
  • "Put your own mask on first"—but this is counterintuitive, especially for women
  • Self-service first—it's a lose-lose when you don't
Jamie's Morning Practice:
First thing in the morning, identify one thing you appreciate about yourself—not what someone else appreciates, but what YOU appreciate about you for you.

When to Give:
"When you are in alignment and feeling good about yourself, opportunities present themselves. Then we say yes—there's no hesitation. It's just a yes.

"The "Should" vs. "Could" Distinction:
Don't give because you think you should—that doesn't feel good. Give because you could and want to.Jamie's Personal Journey:Raised in Service: Grew up in a home where service was the foundation. Home always filled with people from all over the world. Parents' motto: "If there's a will, there's a way." Raised to feel it's a privilege to serve others. Why She Volunteers: "It almost feels selfish on my part. I'm getting so much out of it.

"Her Mother's Story:
Jamie had no emotional connection with her mother her entire life, despite being extremely connected to herself. When her mother was transitioning in the ICU, Jamie finally felt all the love pour through. Then her mother passed.Jamie realized: Her mother couldn't connect with her because she wasn't connected with herself. This became her book's message—connection with ourselves is the basis for every other connection.

Jamie's Superpower:
Born with inner knowing and self-connection. "I was impossible to be influenced. I only heard the sound of my own voice." That self-connection is now her superpower.

Listener Q&A:
Q: How can I give back when I'm still healing myself? Jamie: "When you're still healing, giving back is maybe not the priority. Use that energy for yourself. Actually, the healing IS the giving back."

Q: What's something small I can do to make a difference? Jamie: "Just being present in anyone's space, you are making a difference. When you are present, that is such a present for others

."Powerful Truths:
  • "Know yourself, trust yourself, love yourself—you are your own greatest resource."
  • "Healing is not a destination—healing is an ongoing process."
  • "We need to get back to trusting ourselves, knowing ourselves, loving ourselves. That's where it all is. There's nothing outside of us."
Nyomi's Insights:
  • Bob Proctor quote: "I'm being me for me—not...

The Season of Self Love
Finding Your Service Sweet Spot: Discovering How YOU Are Called to Give Back | Mindset Monday
Join host Nyomi Banks on The Season of Self-Love Podcast for a Mindset Monday exploring how to discover your unique calling to serve. Stop trying to serve in ways that drain you and find the intersection where your gifts meet the world's needs—your service sweet spot.

In This Episode:
• The 5 T's of service: Time, Talent, Treasure, Testimony, and Touch
• Why service shouldn't feel like obligation or burden
 • How to identify your natural gifts (even the ones you overlook)
 • The difference between alignment and obligation
 • Why small acts create big impacts
• Practical exercises to discover your service sweet spot this week

The 5 Forms of Service:
  1. Time - Showing up, being present, volunteering hours
  2.  Talent - Using your specific skills (podcasting, writing, design, teaching, organizing)
  3.  Treasure - Financial support, donations, supporting small businesses
  4.  Testimony - Sharing your story so others don't feel alone
  5.  Touch - Physical presence, hugs, sitting in silence, energy healing

You don't have to do all 5. Pay attention to which 1-2 make your spirit say "YES, that's me!"

Three Questions to Identify Your Gifts:

1. What do you do effortlessly that others struggle with? Nyomi's example: Creating safe space for hard conversations, sitting with pain without fixing it. From childhood, people always stopped her for advice (called her "the Black Dear Abby").

2. What activities make you lose track of time? Your gifts are connected to your joy. Nyomi's example: Deep conversations for hours feel like 20 minutes; working on podcast content and forgetting to eat

3. What do people constantly ask you for help with? These aren't random requests—they're mirrors reflecting your gifts. What are YOU the go-to person for?

Alignment vs. Obligation:

Critical Truth: If service constantly drains you, it's NOT your calling.
  • Service shouldn't feel like a burden
  • Healthy service flows from your gifts and energizes you
  • Saying no to some forms of service isn't selfish—it's stewardship of your gifts
Nyomi's Burnout Story:
Said yes to everything early in her journey. Result: Burnt out, exhausted, resentful. Started asking before saying yes: "Is this aligned with my gifts? Does this energize me?" Her service became MORE powerful when she gave from alignment, not obligation.

Example: The Fashion Show
A friend asked Nyomi to help coordinate a fashion show. She knew it wasn't aligned but said yes out of obligation. Nothing worked. She got ill. Days later, her friend texted: "Spiritual guidance told me I'm not supposed to do this." God/the universe had to say no FOR her.

The Power of Small Acts:

You don't need a nonprofit, platform, or impressive-looking service. Sometimes the most powerful service is quiet and small:
  • Daily TikTok encouragement notes (5-10 minutes)
  • Kind word to a tired cashier
  • Texting "thinking about you today"
  • The way you raise your children (breaking generational curses)
  • Modeling self-love so others learn they can love themselves too
Don't diminish small acts done with great love. You don't have to change the whole world—just change someone's day.

Practical Exercise for This Week:
Step 1: List 5 things you're naturally good at (not trained skills—natural gifts)
Step 2: Which bring you joy when you share them? Circle those—they're your clues.
Step 3: Take ONE aligned action this week that flows from your gifts. Notice: Does it energize or deplete you?

Affirmation:
"My gifts are unique and needed. I don't...

The Power of Service & Community: Cultivating Connection Through Conscious Love with Christian de la Huerta | Wisdom Wednesday
Join host Nyomi Banks on The Season of Self-Love Podcast for a transformative Wisdom Wednesday conversation with Christian de la Huerta—spiritual teacher, breathwork facilitator, and author with 30 years of experience guiding people through deep personal transformation. Explore how personal growth ties into collective healing and why conscious love is the foundation of authentic connection.
In This Episode:
 • Understanding the ego mind: Why we get stuck in power struggles
 • The difference between intensity and intimacy in relationships
• How unconscious wounds from childhood sabotage our relationships
• Breathwork as a tool for healing past trauma stored in the body
• Why self-knowledge is the foundation of loving others
• The power of surrender as an empowering (not disempowering) act
 • Distinguishing worldly power from soulful power
• Why women's empowerment is critical for global healing

About Christian de la Huerta: For 30 years, Christian has been guiding people through deep personal transformation. His wisdom spans spirituality, breathwork, and emotional healing.

His latest book, Conscious Love: Transforming Our Relationship to Relationships, helps people break through patterns that block real, meaningful connection.

Key Concepts Explored: The Ego Mind Explained: Christian offers a powerful visual: "If you put a baseball in the center of a stadium, that's the ego. Who we are is actually the freaking stadium."
  • The ego = sense of separate identity (the "I")
  • We've allowed this tiny part of who we are to think it's ALL who we are
  • The ego makes important life choices from a limited, fear-based perspective
  • Understanding the ego allows us to pause before reacting and choose our response
Why Relationships Fail: Most people struggle with relationships because:
  • We approach them expecting someone to "complete us" or "make us happy"
  • We're running relationships from subconscious wounds we're not even aware of
  • We react to present situations based on old hurts and childhood conclusions
  • We suppress painful beliefs ("I'm not good enough") which then sabotage our relationships
  • We attract the wrong people or people who aren't available as a form of self-sabotage
The Honeymoon Phase vs. Real Love: Adapted from Scott Peck's The Road Less Traveled:
  • Initial infatuation/lust = collapsed ego boundaries (feels amazing but temporary)
  • When the honeymoon ends (3-9 months), ego walls come back up
  • Real loving begins when the honeymoon ends
  • Love isn't the feeling—it's the act of placing ourselves outside our comfort zone for another's spiritual growth
  • We confuse intensity with intimacy, lust with love
Breathwork for Healing Trauma: Christian teaches breathwork that heals past trauma quickly and effectively:
  • Breathe in a circular connected way for 60-90 minutes
  • Bypasses the mind and goes directly to trauma stored in the body
  • Talk therapy helps us understand why we do things, but trauma lives in the body
  • Breathwork clears old wounds permanently—lives change after one session
  • Originally called "rebirthing" because people heal their birth trauma and reset
The Power of Surrender: From Christian's book Awakening the Soul of Power:
  • Surrender is NOT giving up, wimping out, or throwing in the towel
  • Surrender is an incredibly empowering and courageous act
  • It's about releasing control and allowing Spirit/God to lead
  • Misunderstanding surrender keeps us stuck in ego-driven choices
Two Types of Power:
  • Worldly/Ego Power: Hierarchy, control, fear, force, domination—requires pushing others down
  • Soulful Power: Gandhi, Dr. King, nonviolence—dramatic change without violence
  • Gandhi brought the British Empire to its knees without shooting a gun...

• Why true self-love includes recognizing you're part of something bigger
• Service as spiritual practice vs. martyrdom and self-sacrifice
• The Full Cup Philosophy: You can't pour from an empty cup
• How your healing journey prepares you to hold space for others
 • The ripple effect: One person's healing inspires another's transformation
• Turning your pain into purpose through authentic service
 • Why self-care isn't selfish—it's preparation for service

Key Concepts Explored: Service as Spiritual Practice Nyomi reframes what service means—not sacrifice or depletion, but alignment with purpose:
  • Every morning at her altar, she asks: "How can I be of service today?"
  • Service rooted in spiritual practice connects us to something greater than ourselves
  • When service becomes prayer, it stops feeling like obligation and starts feeling like devotion
  • True service isn't about what you're doing for someone—it's about who you're being through the act
The Full Cup Philosophy Self-care isn't selfish—it's preparation for service:
  • You can't pour from an empty cup (but there's deeper truth here)
  • Self-care = filling your cup so when it's time to pour out, you have something substantial to give
  • Pouring from an empty cup = service feels like sacrifice, leads to burnout and resentment
  • Pouring from overflow = service feels like joy, purpose, and extension of your abundance
  • Watching you fill your cup gives others permission to fill theirs too
The Ripple Effect One woman's healing inspires another, creating waves of transformation:
  • Nyomi's story gave women permission to start their own healing journeys
  • Some started podcasts, wrote books, created healing businesses after hearing her truth
  • You don't always see the ripples you create, but trust they're there
  • Every time you choose healing over hiding, you create a ripple
  • Your healing isn't just for you—it's for your children, friends, and strangers who need your story
Service That Honors Your Journey Every struggle was preparation:
  • Your pain wasn't given as a gift, but once you survive and heal, you have a choice
  • Keep that healing to yourself OR use it to light the way for others
  • When you choose service, you reclaim your pain and give it new meaning
  • You transform what happened TO you into something that happens FOR someone else
  • That's alchemy: turning wounds into wisdom
Nyomi's Personal Stories: The Divine Download Post-Surgery: After explant surgery, tender chest and heart, Nyomi felt an overwhelming knowing: "Your story is someone else's survival guide." She realized everything she'd been through—the pain, shame, unraveling, rebuilding—wasn't just for her.

Her Daughter's Birthday Call: Nyomi's oldest daughter (turning 34) called in tears to say thank you: "I moved here 10 years ago at 24 with my baby in a suitcase, wondering how I'd make it without my mama. Now I feel so full. Thank you for talking into me and having hard conversations." Nyomi told her: "Now that you've been through your healing journey, your pain has to be purposeful. Share your story."

The Journey from Adult Industry to Healing Advocate:
  • Initially resistant: "Who am I to help anyone? I'm still healing myself."
  • Realized: You don't have to be fully healed to help someone else
  • The most powerful medicine is being a few steps ahead and saying "Let me show you the way"
  • In sharing her story, she reclaimed it
  • In helping other women through explant...

The Season of Self Love
Reclaimed & Unashamed: Living Beyond Others' Judgments | Threshold Thursday Special Episode
Join host Nyomi Banks on The Season of Self-Love Podcast for a raw and vulnerable special episode addressing the fear that haunts so many: "Will my past define my worth forever?" Inspired by a DM asking "Do you struggle wondering how others might view your past?", Nyomi shares her journey from the adult industry to healing advocate and teaches you how to reclaim your narrative and live unashamed.
In This Episode: • The difference between guilt ("I did something wrong") vs. shame ("I am wrong") • How to reframe your past as your power, not your prison • Why women carry shame differently than men in society • The DVD Principles for reclamation: Decision, Visualization, Discipline • Four practical tools for living unashamed daily • Nyomi's original song "Reclaimed & Unashamed" from her album • Setting boundaries: Not everyone deserves access to your full story
Nyomi's Three Pivotal Moments:
  1. Age 13: Flat-chested, questioning if breasts defined womanhood
  2. Age 31-37: Building a career in the adult industry that gave her power and voice
  3. Age 53: Post-explant surgery, realizing every judged decision brought her to freedom
Four Practical Tools to Live Unashamed:
Tool #1: The Narrative Rewrite Framework: "I used to ___, and now I ___" Example: "I used to work in an industry that society judged, but that experience taught me about power and boundaries. Now I use that wisdom to help women heal and step into their authentic selves."
Tool #2: Boundary Setting When judgment shows up, you have options:
  • Educate (if you have the energy)
  • Redirect: "I appreciate your concern, but I'm at peace with my journey"
  • Decline: "That's not my story to defend"
Tool #3: Spiritual Grounding Create an altar space with items representing your reclamation. Use these daily affirmations:
  1. "I release the need for others' approval. My validation comes from within."
  2. "My past is my power, not my prison. I am reclaimed."
  3. "I am woman/man, whole and complete, exactly as I am."
Color Healing Practice:
  • Red (Root): Reclamation, grounding, standing firm in truth
  • Gold (Solar Plexus): Power, owning your voice
  • Green (Heart): Self-love, compassion for all versions of yourself
  • Violet (Crown): Spiritual alignment, higher purpose
Tool #4: Community Over Judgment Build your circle with people who celebrate your evolution, not those who keep you tied to your past.
Powerful Truths:
  • "Your past doesn't define you. Your choices today do."
  • "You are not on trial. You don't owe anyone an explanation for your transformation."
  • "Reclamation is an act of self-love and spiritual alignment."
  • "Your past is not a liability. It is your superpower."
The Rebirth Concept: Rebirth isn't about erasing who you were—it's about integrating all versions of yourself. Past self + present self co-exist to create the amazing person doing amazing things.
Perfect for listeners interested in:
  • Overcoming shame and judgment from your past
  • Reinventing yourself and living authentically
  • Breaking free from societal expectations
  • Reclaiming your narrative and voice

The Season of Self Love
Gratitude & Abundance: Turning Challenges into Opportunities with Chancellor K. Jackson | Season of Self Love Podcast
Join host Nyomi Banks for this inspiring episode featuring Chancellor K. Jackson, author of "Fourteen Days in Beijing" and testament to the power of transforming adversity into abundance. From a promising football career to an unexpected detainment in China, Chancellor's journey demonstrates how gratitude and resilience can turn life's most challenging moments into platforms for empowerment and purpose.
🎯 What You'll Discover: • How to maintain mental strength and accountability during life's lowest moments • The power of transforming trauma into purpose through storytelling • Why adversity introduces us to our true character and potential • How to rebuild identity after losing what defined you • Practical ways to turn setbacks into comebacks through mindset shifts • The importance of embracing every choice and decision as part of your growth
💫 Chancellor's Transformation Story: Born and raised in Atlanta, Chancellor didn't start playing football until 8th grade - late by Georgia standards where most kids begin at 4 or 5. Through sheer determination and manifestation ("I'm going D-I" became his daily mantra), he earned a Division I scholarship to Stetson University. After graduation, he moved to China to teach English, but six months into what was supposed to be a year-long journey, everything changed with three knocks on his apartment door.
⚡ The Beijing Experience: On April 4, 2019, Chancellor was arrested by Beijing police for cannabis use and spent 14 days in Beijing Penitentiary as the only foreigner among 14 Chinese cellmates. With no shared language, no communication with the outside world, and only a plastic bowl and spoon, he faced the ultimate test of mental resilience. Rather than breaking him, this experience became the foundation for his purpose-driven life.
🌟 The Power of Accountability: "I constantly knew what I was doing and the repercussions from my decision making. I can't really get upset with nobody but myself. I got to take this to the chin. I knew my mental was still going to be intact, my spirit was still going to be intact."
🔥 From Prison to Purpose: What started as casual storytelling to friends about his experience became a bestselling book when his friend DeMarco Reddens suggested he write about it. Taking Chancellor's phone and creating an outline in his notes app, DeMarco sparked what would become a publishing empire - six books and counting, with "Fourteen Days in Beijing" hitting #1 in multiple genres over 15 times.
💎 The Coaching Connection: Chancellor now uses his experience to coach young football players, teaching them that "adversity introduces a man to himself." His prison experience provides powerful lessons about pushing through challenges, maintaining character under pressure, and discovering what you're truly made of when everything is stripped away.
🛠️ Building Abundance from Adversity: Chancellor's journey from detained teacher to bestselling author and coach demonstrates several key principles:

Breaking Free from Hustle Culture: Cultivating Gratitude & Abundance with Jamie Gant
Join host Nyomi Banks for this transformative Wisdom Wednesday episode featuring purpose-driven coach, speaker, and upcoming author Jamie Gant. From corporate burnout to digital nomad freedom, Jamie's journey demonstrates how breaking free from hustle culture and embracing gratitude can unlock authentic abundance and joy.
🎯 What You'll Discover:
• Why the "busy equals productive" mindset leads to burnout and unfulfillment
 • How to shift from task completion to meaningful prioritization
• The difference between chasing success and designing an aligned life
 • Practical gratitude exercises that attract genuine abundance
 • How to identify your true values versus inherited expectations
 • Why silence and self-intimacy are essential for authentic living

💫 Jamie's Transformation Story: Growing up in an unstable, abusive household with parents struggling with addiction, Jamie decided early on to be "not that." After getting clean, she threw herself into the hustle - business degree, corporate ladder climbing, checking all the "success" boxes. Despite looking perfect on paper with a great job, marriage, and lifestyle in Chicago, she developed severe anxiety and debilitating OCD that left her unable to function.

⚡ The Breaking Point: "I had done everything right. I was following the rule book. But underneath all of that, I had severe anxiety and panic attacks so bad I couldn't get out of bed. Everything was falling apart, and I couldn't understand why because I had done all the things I was supposed to do."

🌟 The Gratitude Revolution: After quitting her corporate job with no plan, Jamie discovered that gratitude literally saved her life multiple times. In moments of complete surrender and rock bottom experiences, focusing on simple blessings - breathing, tasting food, hearing birds sing - became her pathway back to abundance and authentic success.

🔥 The Hustle Culture Trap: Jamie reveals how hustle culture creates the illusion of productivity through:
  • Task Completion Over Prioritization - Filling to-do lists with busy work instead of meaningful action
  • Reactive vs. Proactive Thinking - Putting out fires instead of building for the future
  • Quick Wins Addiction - Focusing on what can be checked off today rather than what moves the needle forward
  • Burnout Cycle - Feeling exhausted and depleted while seeing no real progress
💎 The 2020 Message We Missed: Both Nyomi and Jamie reflect on how 2020 was meant to teach us to stay still, but instead of learning presence and gratitude, society hit fast-forward and multiplied the hustle by ten. The pandemic was an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters. 🛠️ Practical Gratitude & Abundance Tools: Daily Gratitude Practice:
  • Three Good Things Method (University of Berkeley study) - Write down 3 good things daily
  • Ten Blessings Approach - Start small with simple things like working ears or morning coffee
  • Build momentum - Once you start, finding 10 things becomes natural
Self-Love Notes:
  • Leave sticky note love letters around your house
  • Write notes on your coffee maker, mirror, and other daily touchpoints
  • Create future love letters to yourself and hide them to find later
  • Treat yourself with the same care you'd give a loved one
Values Alignment Exercise:
  1. Identify Your True Values - Not what others say is important, but what feels important to YOU
  2. Find Your Top 5 - What are your non-negotiables?
  3. Do an Alignment Audit - Where are you honoring your values vs. living others' expectations?
  4. Course Correct - Make decisions based on your authentic values
🧘‍♀️ The Power of Silence: "We cannot hear what our heart has to say if we're not sitting in silence. Our relationship with silence is just as important as our relationship with ourselves." 🌈 Powerful...

Building Inner Strength & Resilience: A Healing-First Approach with Trent Carter
Join host Nyomi Banks for this empowering Wisdom Wednesday episode featuring Trent Carter, nurse practitioner, founder of Renew Health, and author of "The Recovery Tool Belt." From small-town Texas to transforming lives through addiction recovery and mental health, Trent's healing-first approach demonstrates how true resilience comes from addressing root causes, not just symptoms.

🎯 What You'll Discover:
• Why traditional medical approaches often miss the root of healing
 • How to break free from limiting beliefs that are actually self-imposed
 • The difference between motivation and discipline in building resilience
 • Practical tools for rewiring your brain through affirmations and journaling
 • Why knowledge without action is just potential power
 • How small daily wins create a compound effect for transformation

💫 Trent's Transformation Story: Growing up in Boyd, Texas, Trent became a registered nurse working in trauma ICU and neurology ICU before becoming a nurse practitioner. During clinical rotations with a family practice doctor treating opioid addiction, he witnessed transformation but recognized massive gaps in traditional treatment approaches. This led him to become board-certified in addiction medicine and found Renew Health in New Mexico.

⚡ The Gap in Traditional Medicine: Trent observed that traditional medical approaches often treat symptoms with medication rather than addressing root causes. His healing-first philosophy focuses on giving patients tools rather than just prescriptions, emphasizing that lasting change requires active participation from the person seeking healing.

🌟 The Tool Belt Philosophy: "If all you've got is a hammer, then everything's a nail. By having these tools, you can now approach something differently, more effectively, more efficiently, and more safely." Trent's approach gives people multiple tools for recovery and resilience, but emphasizes that it's up to them to use those tools.

🔥 Knowledge vs. Action: "Knowledge isn't power - knowledge is potential power. If you've got this new information but don't do anything with it, it didn't do anything. I would argue it's worse because now you have newfound knowledge yet you're not utilizing it."

🛠️ Building Inner Resilience - Practical Steps: 1. Awareness First:
  • Recognize when you're in a cycle that isn't serving you
  • Acknowledge that something needs to change
  • Don't judge the situation - just observe it
2. Acquire Knowledge:
  • Tap into free resources online, in your community, or through trusted friends
  • Seek out information that addresses root causes, not just symptoms
  • Find resources that speak your language and resonate with your experience
3. Build Support Systems:
  • Lean on positive support that builds you up
  • Avoid people who criticize destructively or want to keep you down
  • Accept constructive criticism that helps you grow
4. Take Action:
  • Move beyond just learning to actually implementing
  • Start with small, manageable steps
  • Stay consistent even when motivation is low
💎 The Discipline vs. Motivation Truth: "Discipline trumps motivation. Motivation comes and goes, waxes and wanes. If you can set habits, routines, and stay disciplined, you just got stronger when you push through without motivation. This leads to self-confidence and makes it easier to make right choices when motivation is low."

🧘‍♀️ Daily Resilience Practices: Morning Wins Strategy:
  • Start with small wins like making your bed
  • Stack 2-3 small accomplishments early in the day
  • Build psychological momentum for larger challenges
  • Track your wins to see progress over time
Journaling for Reflection:
  • Write down thoughts, feelings, and progress regularly
  • Date entries to track mindset shifts over...

Breaking Free & Living Fully: Embracing Emotional Resilience with Brooke DeBoer
Join host Nyomi Banks for this powerful episode featuring life coach, inspirational speaker, and author Brooke DeBoer. From surviving bullying and abusive relationships to building a life of freedom and purpose, Brooke's journey demonstrates how we can transform trauma into triumph and build unshakeable emotional resilience while rewriting our stories.
 🎯 What You'll Discover:

• The power of reflection, journaling, and prayer in the healing process

💫 Brooke's Transformation Story: At 24, Brooke found herself a single mother escaping an abusive relationship while pregnant with her daughter. This pivotal moment forced her to ask: "What kind of mom do I want to be? What kind of example do I want to set?" Her journey from survival to thriving involved years of healing work, ultimately leading to a happy marriage, three daughters, and her book "Living the Free Life."

⚡ The Health Crisis Wake-Up Call: In her 30s, Brooke experienced a stress-induced thyroid crash that wasn't autoimmune-related. Her doctor's tests revealed the truth: years of stored trauma were manifesting physically. This health challenge became her invitation to finally process the pain she'd been carrying since childhood.

🌟 The Masterpiece Moment: A pivotal conversation with a church mentor changed everything: "God created you as a masterpiece. Are you treating yourself like a masterpiece?" This question became the foundation for Brooke's permission to rewrite her story and demand better treatment from herself and others.

🔥 Understanding Emotional Resilience: "Resilience is when you go through something hard, you take a moment, take a breath, and then you get back up again. It's putting one foot in front of the other, sometimes stopping and pausing to reflect before taking further steps

." 🛠️ Brooke's Resilience Process:
  1. Stop and Reflect - Don't just push through pain
  2. Journal - Process emotions and experiences on paper
  3. Pray/Meditate - Connect with something greater than yourself
  4. Recalibrate - Adjust your direction based on new insights

  • Assessment - Using tools like the Wheel of Life to evaluate different life areas
  • Goal Setting - Establishing clear vision for desired outcomes
  • Backward Planning - Creating action steps from goal to present
  • Challenge Anticipation - Preparing for obstacles and creating alternatives
  • Relationship Analysis - Evaluating who gets access to different levels of your life
