Hello everyone! This week, we're talking about tough conversations and why we need to say what we mean and mean what we say. When we don't communicate effectively, we miss out on truly saying what needs to be understood. I bring up a story back in my ministry cult and talk about a time when someone didn't communicate with me correctly. It's a quick episode, but one that needs to be heard. I'm excited for you to listen!
This week is Halloween. Do you celebrate it? I know when I was younger, I used to dress up like Bible characters because I wasn't allowed to trick or treat. This week, I talk about some thoughts about Halloween, being a Christian kid during that holiday, and some deeper topics. Don't get scared, it's just my podcast!
We're back! Welcome to season 5 (I know, I'm surprised too). After a two-week break, I am back to grace you with my presence. I am excited for this season! Maybe it's because we're about to hit the holidays, or it just feels nice to be back, either way, this season is gonna be good!
Welcome to the season 5 Cold Open!
This week marks the end of season 4! Don't worry, I'll be back in two weeks with the start of season 5! However, this week, we are talking about the holidays. Do you enjoy the holidays, or are you like me, where you've struggled to enjoy them? We talk about the holidays, life, and how autumn is upon us. I can't wait for you to check out this episode!
This week, we shift gears to remind ourselves that growth is good, but we should also enjoy the progress we've made, too. As usual, I will tell silly stories or reveal how my brain works. Maybe you've been on a hustle and grind mentality, that's not bad, but don't forget to laugh a bit too.
Over this past weekend, there has been a lot of stuff that happened, and not in the most positive way. I know that many of us are aware of what happened, and now it is up to us on how we want to respond. It may not be an easy topic, but this week I challenge you to take some time to ponder and see where you stand with it all. You may not agree with everything I say (and you probably shouldn't), but that is where we gain perspective and challenge the way we think. Let's grow for a better us and a better community.
***Trigger Warning***
This month is National Suicide Awareness Month, and it's time to have a conversation about it. Join me this week as I open up in my personal life and share why this month is important.
You may be going through life not knowing where to go or when to take the next turn, but you got this. This episode isn't a sad one, but it is a real conversation that needs to be talked about. I hope you join me this week.
We are in September, finally! Crazy to think that we're here and not only that, we're only 3 months away from the end of the year! So, let's see where we stand right now. Are we doing better than we thought? Let's see where you stand in our 3rd quarter audit.
This week, we talk about work, coaching, and growth. How we respond can be the door we walk through or the wall we run into. Are we able to take accountability for our actions, or would we rather blame others for actions or lack of actions from ourselves? This might be a challenging episode, but I do believe it can be relatable for someone like you. Have you had challenges with feedback, or have you had someone who didn't take your feedback well? How did you respond, or how did they react?
This week I talk about jealousy...and my caffeine addiction. I think you and I can definitely get stuck in the jealousy trap. Whether that's due to comparison, frustration, envy, or insecurity, we all sort of struggle with jealousy at least once in our lives. Today's episode is where I admit some of my shortcomings and reflect that when I've been jealous, it might've been because of something deeper in me than the other person.
Hello everyone, I have great news! I was invited to join my alma mater's Facebook group. Honestly, it's a bit funny to be invited to a group like that, not because I shouldn't be, but because it has been such a far-off memory for me. It's also funny because, to be honest, I haven't thought about a lot of those people. Not because I don't care, but also because I don't care. Maybe you understand, or maybe you don't. Why not join me this week to see what I'm talking about?
Is it just me, or does it feel like stress is creeping up on us? I know back-to-school is right around the corner, and everyone will probably be affected by it. How do you handle this back-to-school stress or any other stress? Join me this week as I handle my stress and how stress is only an emotion, not the truth we have to live with.
Vans Warped Tour Long Beach just ended this past weekend, which means Vans Warped Tour Orlando is the last one for this year! Let's talk Warped Tour and how it impacted my life. I talk a little bit about my transition from jamming out to VeggieTales to fan girling about Chiodos, Broadside, and so many more bands. I hope you enjoy this episode!
We've all had some name given to us, and I'm not just talking about our government name, but I mean nicknames. Sometimes those nicknames can be good and reaffirming to us, and other times they can knock us down.
This week, I want to talk to you about my journey with my nicknames and struggles with identity. I'm excited to share my heart and perspective with this one! What nickname do you have?
Today we talk about you! I have heard many people who want to start a podcast, a business, or have a YouTube channel, but when push comes to shove, they don't take action. This is your sign to start creating! Don't let yourself get in the way of you! Join me this week, where we talk about how being creative is exactly what you need to be doing!
This week, we are talking about alignment. What do you think about when you hear the word "alignment"? I think about an orthodontist or a chiropractor. Join me this week as I talk about alignment in my life and how we can use our past to affect our future through aligning it correctly.
I don't know if I ever mentioned this, but I have white parents. No, it's not because they stole me from a country in Asia; they adopted me when I was little. This week, I want to talk about a little piece of that and how it has challenged me to grow in my life and hopefully challenge you in yours.
This week, it was my birthday! What a crazy year it's been, but what a great year to grow too. This week, I talk about my birthday, how last year was great, and that this year will be even better. I'm excited to share this episode and share my (belated) birthday!
Mel Robbins wrote a book called "The Let Them Theory". It's a theory that many people have been talking about recently. However, I think a lot of people are only hearing half of the theory. Yes, at the end of the day, people are going to choose what they want to do, but you have the same opportunity to do the same. This week, I focus on how we can apply this theory in our own lives instead of worrying about trying what other people are doing.
This week, we discuss the power of rest. It's easy to jump to the next thing or idea, but sometimes, we just need to rest and reset. Join me as I explain why welcoming rest is key to the next great thing.
