We are back in the Alliance universe. We did an episode with Nero, and now we are moving to King, Nero's bestie. He is hot, funny, dirty, and honestly super duper bossy. I laughed out loud many times reading this book. Loved both King and Savannah. Their dynamic is amazing. The story line is great. I will be returning for any other books made in this universe.

Morgan calls this the adult dangerous sexy version of How to Train Your Dragon. This book series is the current IT book and it did not disappoint. I can't remember the last time I read a book this long in such a short amount of time. I literally couldn't put it down. This book has everything: family, friendship, danger, thrills, love, death.....and Rebecca Yarros put it all together in possibly one of the best books I have ever read.
This week's read is by an author new to us and she most certainly did not disappoint. Jillian read Author Kat Singleton's Black Ties & White Lies which is book one in the Black Tie Billionaires series. Book two drops tomorrow and we are absolutely here for it! This is a billionaire fake fiance, ex-douche-bag boyfriend's older brother, grumpy sunshine, first meeting ZING, spicy to the millionth degree, FANTASTIC book.
Also, there's a great rant expressing our opinion on cancel culture in the book world. We'll just say TikTok struck a nerve and all we have to say is: My fellow "Book People", Do better!

We all know that when it comes to this book series Jillian is pro Jesse Ward. Morgan thinks he has too many red flags to be redeemed. We have always been on opposing sides with this one. Would you believe me if I said that Jillian is perhaps, maybe, possibility rethinking her pro Jesse stance? I wouldn't believe me either.
I think this episode will shock you. I was shocked, and flabbergasted, all the things.....Jillian explains why.
We did something a little different this week. Morgan did the reading and Jillian got to ask the questions. This week was a reverse harem, and we all know how Jillian and Morgan feel about these, one loves them and one doesn't.
We have the main woman character, Jessica. This reverse harem is complete with 4 men, Manson, Vincent, Jason , and Lucus. This RH starts as an enemies to lovers senior year of high school and jumps forward 3 years, when Jessica moves back to her hometown.
Obviously this book has a lot of sex, ALOT. It's a RH so its supposed to, but this sex is angry and aggressive. I felt like i was holding my breath a bit because i didn't know what was coming.
This book was quite a journey.

Sara Cate brings us another book from the Salacious Players Club. We have met Eden before, she is the club's domme. She is a bad ass bitch from what we know about her. This in her story, and we were unprepared for the ride.
Eden comes from a terrible marriage, she has a kid, and she is one of the most well known domme's in the industry of sex clubs. She basically lives a double life, 1 part mom, 1 part domme. Only a few people know about both. She meets Clay, he is her client and they begin to have feelings for each other, but as always one always thinks they know best for the other and it doesn't work out.

In order to survive she steals identities, she hates it and feels guilty but it is the way it is. We find her in Australia in a coastal small town at a bar where she meets Enzo. He's sexy and has great banter with her so she decides to go against the grain and sleep with him. The next morning she steals, then he finds out, time goes by and he finds her again. He plays his part and gets her to get on his boat. Revenge.
Things don't go well, a storm comes, and boat is capsized, they end up on an island, and all hell breaks loose. Enter crazy rough pain sex, ghosts, or maybe not, a crazy peg legged man that gives off psycho vibes....they need to survive and get off this island asap. We were thrown for a loop with his book, let us know what you think!
Back in August we read the 1st book in the Violent Delights series. This book series focuses on Sophia and Damien. In the 1st book you get the meeting between characters and the building of their relationship. Book 2 starts out with the characters in turmoil, life is coming at them at both angles and they are struggling to keep themselves and their relationship above water. They want to be together but neither are willing to give what is needed to obtain a healthy relationship. This book really takes the characters through different emotions, lots of sex, and the dom/sub lifestyle.
Because why wouldn't we re-release this gem of an episode.....

After a bad breakup Shay goes out for a night on the town with her besties. Cole is the sexy man in the booth, he is dark and stormy and very unapproachable. He sees Shay from across the way and she intrigues him, even before she comes over with an explanation for her situation. He has this way of getting information out of people and he uses this to his advantage. The tension is too much, and they end up getting a room at the hotel and spend an amazing, fun filled night together.
Months later, Shay ends up getting a job at Cole's company as his personal assistant. Neither are happy about it, mainly because Cole is rude and arrogant, and she's not having any of it. So starts the back and forth of I want you but i don't, but I do, but we can't. The sexual tension and sex is unreal in this book and we are very much looking forward to continuing with this series.
