The Spirit of Execution
Chabacano Caviteño with Stacy

In this episode Levi is learning Chabacano Caviteño: an endangered language in the Philippines.

Estimated less than 4,000 speakers.

Why is Levi learning Caviteño?

Levi is pursuing a global language project. Much of the criticism prior movements have faced is the potential to shrink other languages and cultures.

It's is not our goal or mission to "save" these languages; however, we value a foundation of listening and learning while we pursue our goal.

Note: The vocabulary of Chabacano Caviteño is strongly rooted in Spanish. Levi speaks Spanish at an intermediate level and speaks spanish to Stacy as often as possible when conversing.

Confessions of a Barely Average Linguist

In this episode, we speak about the core principles of my language project. The essential message is that communication is a foundational need for society to exist, that need has not been met at a global scale, and we have every resource needed to resolve this issue.

On May 29th, 2025:

I walked to a park by the beach. There was a stranger feeding birds, smiling, and saying hello to everyone that walked by.

We spoke for about an hour, covering life, family, money, relationships, passions, and more.

This is a short clip from a longer episode of Duffys Lane — a podcast where I speak with strangers in public spaces. Episode title - Lysistrata
